Streaming live on CNN, Fox, MSNBC, just about on every channel.
Scary stuff. Supposedly this plane was taken down by birds getting into the engines.

Hats off to the pilot for getting her down in one piece.
Sounds like the injuries were far and few between.
I watched a show where they used turkeys and fired them into jet engines to see if they would continue to run. They did untill a certain size and or speed was attained.
How many pounds are geese anyway??

A wild goose might be anywhere from 2 to 16 pounds, which, of course, are extremes. Canadas (5 - 16 pounds) tend to be bigger than snows (4 to 8 pounds), Ross geese (2 - 4 pounds) are much smaller, There are several other kinds in North America, but they fit in this scale.

Why did the birds attack in the movie The Birds?
The reason the birds attack are due to the fact that Melanie Daniels is possessed. In other words, she is causing the attacks. This explains why she was so reluctant to attend Cathy's birthday party. She wanted to witness the attacks that she causes in her own eyes. Towards the end of the movie, she courageously attempts to sacrifice herself by venturing into the room filled with bloodthirsty birds but to no avail. Melanie Daniels is rescued and acts in a very psychotic manner. The "internal spirit" that possessed her has gained control.
Just amazing how the pilot maintained. Fantastic.

Well if you think about it, the Democrats probably fought to keep hunters of lands around New York because you need to use a gun to hunt geese. So...then by the number of hunted geese dropping, that increases the population in the area.
Thats the best I could do on that one.
