1 Maglev wind turbin takes less than 100 acres and powers 750,000 homes. The power generated from 1 of these is far greater and takes up thousands of acres less than a wind farm.

While watching the video try to fathom just how massive this thing is. Look at the top of it where the helicopter lands, and the monorail that travels around it. Amazing...

Interesting.

Most interested in where it gets the electricity to power the electromagnets before it starts to producing any. Just how is it supposed to turn in the first place if it has no power to create the electromagnetic bearings?

This is more what I have always thought the 'windmill' would eventually morph into.

Harvesting at greater heights would take a lot of the 'unreliable wind' problem out of wind energy.

Interesting, MWTT is private. I thought for sure they were the next green penny when I watched that video.
