In Canada, the SC recently ruled that an overweight person is entitled to two seats on a plane:

Finally a post of yours that I agree with. It's utter non-sense to let an obese person get 2 seats for the price of 1 just because they can't fit in a single seat. If they need more than one, pay for it damn it! Or lose some weight!

I find this kind of ironic.

The more weight you bring on a plane the more fuel you use to get and stay aloft. Now the Canadian gov is saying (in a sense) that the amount of weight a person brings on a plane is immaterial to the cost structure that should be passed on to customers. I'd like to hear an attempt at rationalizing that logic.
