When I was in highschool, when I turned 16, I started to get realy sick every couple months.
I went to an ear, nose, and throat specialist and He said I had both a deviated septum, and nasal polyps.
I had a deviated ceptum surgry done and he got rid of the polyps at the same time. Basicly what they do is scape them out with some type of scraping tool.
I would go to an ear nose and throat specialist and ask about getting the polyps scraped out....mabey you have a deviated septum too!

My wife has them as well, Bond. She's had two operations to remove them and they just return. Her current doctor believes they are caused by some alergy. Doing tests to find out what. Prednezone (a steroid) makes them fall off\out while she's on it. Might ask your doctor about getting a prescription for the short term.
Hope that helps.

Those nasel rinses can sure help some of the problems caused by allergies. The electric hydro pulse ones are great.
Trouble with your wife taking those steroids is that her voice will get much deeper from them.
