Universal Studios here in Universal City isn't bad either. Kinda grew out of that one though.

I've been to Six Flags once but not Paramount's. I am getting ready to take a trip to CA here shortly though, and do plan to be in the SF area... Might just have to check it out.

I've been to Universal Studios once too. When I was there they had just started building the "Back to the Future ride", so that should give you a good idea of how long it's been since I visited.

I believe Paramount's is located in a Northern CA town of Santa Clara if I can recall.

Wow, check out this wooden roller coaster, looks like fun. I'd have to go to Australia to ride it though.

Yeah I went on the E.T. ride, wouldn't really consider it a roller coaster though. I liked the Backdraft ride better.

Oh man, it's been a very LONG time since I've been at Paramount. I can remember, "The Demon", The Edge", "The Revolution" and that's about it. The last time I checked out their website, they put a ton of new rides there.

Check out their website here: www.pgathrills.com

Paramount's was great but Six Flags, Magic Mountain here in Southern Calif (Valencia, CA) is better, in my opinion. And here's their website:

Dueling dragons - Universal Orlando - Went with my son last July - got up early, had a large coffee and nothing else - got to the park at the opening - hopped on the dragon - hopped off the dragon - coffee exited my body in a violent manner........washed up, rode that puppy 3 more times.

Going to Busch Gardens Tampa next month for a few days - have not been in 4 or 5 years, got some new coasters since then - no more coffee [Big Grin]

Faster coasters have reliability issues
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060617/ap_on_re_us/fastest_coaster

Reliability issues? Eh, so long as they don't become saftey issues I think I'll be ok.

"It's not like the hydraulics in your lawnmower," Marden said. "They're not like normal roller coasters. They're different designs. They're prototypes."

LOL, my lawn mower has no hydraulics.... it doesn't even have a motor....

What is the technique of tattooing a lawn mower?

Wouldn't a stencil and paint be just as good?

Anyone want to take a ride on this roller coaster?

http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/constellation/main/railcarevac.html

It would only be the third tallest in the world, but still... think about the circumstances under which you would be riding it... [Eek!]
