Maybe he is only going on to refurbish the claims of the same positiona as before.

I too think Tennette was bought and paid for, but I always believed that, in order to keep the stooge from reneging on the deal, there had to be a clause or two as to his continued service, being brought to the fore periodiotacally and when the need arrises (and, for the same purposes, the "pay" must continue into the foreseeable future......more pay for each appearance).

I think you need to learn what the carpetbaging devil is and stop slandering good cow hands and cowgirls.

dubya was born in New England, raised in New England, educated (all private schools of the very very wealthy, where "gentleman's grades" are the standard rather than scholarship and learning), just as his father and his brothers were. Note that whenever his family has some get-together, it is done in Maine, not Texas and that no one of his siblings claims to be from Texas. Dubya's and daddy Bush's only association with Texas is as a place to collect money from spurious investment schemes.

The one time ever he attempted any school that did not sell diplomas to the very wealthy was when he attempted the University of Texas Law School. His initial application to the School was rejected because of insufficient academic background and quality and some question about a grade on an entrance exam, but daddy Bush had several influential "friends" (Governor John Connally) approach the school and "suggest" (threaten?) that dubya be admitted. Because political power and influence does dominate any publically financed school, dubya was thus admitted to the School. Thereafter, he distinguished himself by becoming the very first person (and the last) to manage to flunk out of, not just the Law School, but the entire University of Texas in less than a semester.

Even now, when the press is not looking or can be persuaded not to note the fact, he does his vacationing in Maine and family gatherings are there, not in some other Texas location and not the acarage he bought, with tax moneys he screwed out of the City of Arlington, and doesn't love in my old childhood play grounds around Crawford.

p.s. I must admit that I have no idea what you mean by "ETIM" why you would expect anyone to know).

i never cared much for Ashecroft, but oddly enough? Ashecroft seems to have had too much as well..

"George W. works on his father's Senate campaign. George Sr. is overwhelmingly defeated after being portrayed by his opponent as a carpetbagger and a member of the Northeastern elitist establishment."

And because the Texas Rangers (the military and law enforcement group, not the baseball Team) announced just before the election that the letter daddy bush had been using throughout his campaign and claiming it established criminal behavior of his opponent was a forgery, none of the supposed crimes ever existed, and the forgery was done in daddy Bush's campaign headquarters.

yeah that's the point where i realised Powell was losing his integrity...

Clarke:

Clarke also tells CBS News Correspondent Lesley Stahl that White House officials were tepid in their response when he urged them months before Sept. 11 to meet to discuss what he saw as a severe threat from al Qaeda.

"Frankly," he said, "I find it outrageous that the president is running for re-election on the grounds that he's done such great things about terrorism. He ignored it. He ignored terrorism for months, when maybe we could have done something to stop 9/11. Maybe. We'll never know."

Clarke went on to say, "I think he's done a terrible job on the war against terrorism."

I still have no idea what you mean by ETIM.

To be specific, ETIM was used in a sentence concerning dubya, not in any way connected with stocks and used here in " Off-Topic Post, Non Stock Talk", a specific place for things otrher than stock talk.

Quote: "Go ETIM is all I can say..I don't thing GW will go for the Vatican Library Urn though, I think he's too Southern in nature. Old Cow hand that he is....loL"

I cannot assume it is the stock with the symbol ETIM from context. You seem to have assumed that out of context. And in a non-stock chat room.

THIS "ROOM" IS NOT A STOCK FORUM, AS IS PLAINLY STATED WITHIN ITS NAME.

Geeeeeze uz kryst!

here's the "political hacks" credentials:

Clarke helped shape U.S. policy on terrorism under President Reagan and the first President Bush. He was held over by President Clinton to be his terrorism czar, then held over again by the current President Bush.

hmmmmm.... Dubya has made a total mess of things as he "learns" how to be "presidential"

dubya never "learned" (past tense) and will never in the future "learn" to be presidential. He confuses the position with kingship and it's responsibilities therefore are beyond him (yes, he is really that dumb).

Today might be the day that I just stop listening to the shurb and cheney I am getting sick of looking at the both of them.

lying to go to war, taxpayer swindles of a scale not seen since the civil war,no respect to our troops ,(unless it is meaningless talk that cost nothing),taking away of civil liberties to citizens, and a brain that belongs to a society that lives in the 15th century.

What really scares me is the lack of outrage of my fellow Americans, and some that will defend this moron to the death.

Tennette calls the Administration liars.

The Administration calls Tennette a liar.

Which liar is plausable, if any?

Personally, I can see that it is probable that they are all telling the truth when they call one another liars.

Lying (not those trivial little white lies everyone tells as a matter of social peace keeping) on call is a personality trait that seems to have been one of the requirements as this Administration was set up. Those who didn't lie as directed, were canned.
