In interesting question, were its stated premiss not a lie.

Why is it the rightwing likes to foster these falsehoods?

Are their allies and coheartss really that ignorant of facts and reality?

Too, why are they constantly railing against the man that WON (not was appointed) overwhelmingly totwo terms in office and clearly could handilly win a third if the law permitted. He cannot run again!!!!! He was and is that popular and the programs he supported were and are the choice of Americans, not the backward anti-Constitutional anti-American aims of the rightwing extreme.

Please....Dont fool yourself. Charles Manson could give the majority of the potential candidates a run for their money. If your statment is eluding to the fact that you think America wants to go back in time pre 9/11 when the economy was redlining and terrorists were freely carrying out attacks against american interest abroad and just planning the attack of 9/11......then ill agree with ya.

Lets just say they rewrote the law and Bubba did serve a third....The market still would have performed the same as it did and the attacks of 9/11 would have been carried out as well. After all... it was hatched during his tenure and I firmly consider a part of that "HIS MESS". the only difference would have been...he wouldnt have done anything significant about it. (Dont get me wrong I also feel Iraq was overkill)

If Clinton was loved so much, why didnt his crony get the overwhelming vote?

Ooh...that could be fun. Someone here should change their name to Charles Manson...run for Pres...and see if the media still gives "equal time" or not.

I don't blame the market on Bubba. Real Estate bubble, Katrina, 9-11...those are all market affecting things no matter who is in office.

I do blame him for four years of war with a country that didn't attack us though. And the costs of that are very very large...

Katrina...The hurricane that has marred the landscape of the South has cost this country an estimated 80-200 Billion dollars.

Big expense to bring us back to par. That's going to affect the market and nobody can do much about it.

Cost of Iraq war? That number is set to hit 456 Billion this fall with no end in sight. That affect of the market I do put at the doorstep of the Whitehouse. Squarely.

No Freudian slip here.

Katrina...gonna happen anyway. His admin did a lousy job of damage control but not his fault.

9-11...gonna happen anyway. Again, he did a lousy job of response but not his fault.

Real Estate bubble...been heating up for 20 years. After rates got slashed everybody was buying. Not hard to see that once rates went back up it was gonna stall. Not his fault.

War with Iraq when Afganistan was where our enemies were. His idea, his fault.

Letting the Iraqi military fall back into Bagdad and merge with the civilian population there, His commanders strategy, his fault.

Not securing the borders of a war torn country and allowing outside militias to supply men and weapons to the insurgency and turn this into gurrilla warfare....His commanders lack of foresight, his fault.

Turning a war that was supposed to cost 25 Billion according to initial reports (the same ones that talked about mobile WMD creation facilities) into a war that has cost 450 Bil in direct costs and over 1 Tril in indirect costs. His Fault.

Lying to the American public to get them to allow him to hit someone weaker than him back rather than taking on the guys that hit America in the first place...His Crime.

Same as Slick Willie, he lied to the American public. One was near on impeached, the other re-elected. Oh the power of pandering.

Seems to be a confusion on the use of "bubba".

Big seems to be referring to dubya, while rim is sticking to the standard far right use of the term as an insulting reference to Clinton.

"If Clinton was loved so much, why didnt his crony get the overwhelming vote?"

Because he let his running mate, a closet republican, dictate to him how to campaign so as to suit the republican agenda. Gore's biggest mistake ever was Lieberman. Even so and including the outright theft of the Florida 2000 vote, "his crony" won the Nation's popular vote

Yep, he doesn't restrict his information sources to only the rightwing extreme so he isn't likely to realize you think that term is only allowed to be an insult to Clinton, and you aren't likely to have ever heard the term used otherwise.

ReAlly???

Huh... I always called Clinton Slick Willie. Bubba is a little too bumbling to discribe the slickster.

Now Bushy...Bubba fits him quite well.

Well, now...nicknames aside...do you still agree with me Rim? [Wink]

Im starting to notice that the smear campaign against Giuliani has started and I cant help but get pissed because I know its gonna get alot worse...

Lets face it.... on 9/11 he did nothing too special. He evacuated and moved north.

What he did do, which im not sure alot of people on this board could appreciate. Is how he cleaned up NYC and drastically reduced the crime rate. I dont know if people remember what time square was like before he was in office.

He also broke the back and was the catylist for reducing organized crime to pretty much a gang.

But my favorites were when he 86'ed Arafat from the UN party and when he told the Saudi Prince to take his 10 mill and stick it!!!

NEW YORK (CNN) -- Mayor Rudy Giuliani said Thursday the city would not accept a $10 million donation for disaster relief from Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal after the prince suggested U.S. policies in the Middle East contributed to the September 11 attacks.

"I entirely reject that statement," Giuliani said. "There is no moral equivalent for this [terrorist] act. There is no justification for it. The people who did it lost any right to ask for justification for it when they slaughtered 4,000 or 5,000 innocent people
