Greetings To All:

The Munchkin Man is going to try to create a topic thread which he hopes will not offend anybody and which may actually interest a couple of people or more.

Let us suppose that you were on death row. The day before your execution, you are told that as your last request, you can be flown to your all time favorite restaurant in the United States for your last big meal.

Which restaurant would be your choice?

The Munchkin Man's choice would be The Lotus of Siam, an authentic Thai restaurant, located in Las Vegas, away from the strip, on East Sahara Avenue.

Here is a link to their main menu:

http://www.usmenuguide.com/lotusofsiammenu.html

Here are some of the few wonderful items the Munchkin Man has enjoyed from this restaurant:
____________________________

10. SPICY CHICKEN WINGS 7.95
Chicken wings deep fried until crispy then sautéed with chili, garlic, and topped with crispy mint leaves.

13 A. NUA DAD DEAW ( Beef jerky Issan style ) 7.95
Deep fried marinated beef, served with spicy home made sauce.

14. NAM KAO TOD 7.95
Minced sour sausage mixed with green onion, fresh chili, ginger, peanuts, crispy rice and lime juice. THIS IS FABULOUS!!!

20. TOM YUM PLAR DOOK (c) 4.95 (b) 8.95 (h) 12.95
Hot and sour soup with catfish, lime, lemon grass & straw mushroom.

64 PLAR DOOK KRA-PROW KROB Depends on size
Deep fried whole catfish, topped with sautéed of fresh and dry chili, garlic, Thai basil and crispy Thai basil.

98. SALMON PANANG 14.95
Charbroiled salmon fillet served on Thai style creamy curry sauce with cognac. IF THE MUNCHKIN MAN COULD ONLY ENJOY ONE MORE SEAFOOD ENTREE, THIS WOULD BE IT!

STICKY RICE WITH MANGO (Seasonal) 6.50 (A VERY REFRESHING DESSERT!)
___________________________

The Munchkin Man is tempted to move to Las Vegas, just for the sole purpose of being able to go to this restaurant whenever he wants to.

One more thing. They offer you a 10-point "heat scale" as to how hot and spicy you want each of your orders prepared. The last time the Munchkin Man went, the Munchkin Man ordered a "9" for each item. This is enough to put your tongue on fire and make your ear drums burn from ear to ear.

Okay, your turn. Which restaurant would be your choice?

Good luck to all.

Best Wishes,

Munchkin Man

East Coast Grill, Cambridge, MA. Great sea food, killer appatizers, and a great atmosphere. But to be truthful to the question, If I had to choose one last meal I would have to pick an all you can eat pasta buffet. I could eat for a realy long time if needed.

Well, I don't know about the death row senstence. If that were the case, I probably go to Charlie Trotter's in Chicago, but it's a bit high falooten for me to go to unless it was my last meal being paid for by the tax payers of IL.
So, taking away the death sentence, I would go to a little Italian resturaunt on Taylor Street in Chicago, ROSAL's

www.rosals.com

Have the Ravioli stuffed with goat cheese covered with a sun dried tomatoes, basil, garlic sauce, EXCELLENT !

Uh-huh, sure. And your second choice would be tomatoes from your garden, cut up and layered on a bean burrito from Taco Bell, right? How'd that rodent repellent work this year by the way?

The Burkhoff in the windy city is pretty good too. Great Portabello appatizers. Rest of the menu is pretty darn good too.

Last meal? I don't think good food should go to waste. Just gimme a grilled cheese and let someone else who has more than an hour to live enjoy the good stuff.

My tomatoes did crap this year, They're just now getting ripe. Nice size, not a lot like last year. Peppers doing great. I have 42 pepper plants, 10 Bell Peppers, the rest differnt type of hot peppers. Cukes did great too, vines 12' long, plenty of fruit.

After meeting you I decided, I don't want to meet anyone else from here. On the other hand, I don't think it could get worse, but why risk it.

Yeah, I read it. Coming from a guy who wears a sundress, well, I figure I don't have too much to worry about.

Cascina Rosengana, in a small farmer town called Cocconato d'Asti in northern Italy

they have no menu, it's a 9-course menu from local products. Best restaurant I've *ever* been to
