he called in a group of children to parade in front of the camers to show what a sweet guy he is....
maybe the Senate and the House should parade a line of people waiting for cures in front of the white house.... oh thats right, that would be in bad taste...

The absurd notion that the possibility, however remote, of life, amounts to life, carries with it the equally valid conclusion that, by taking his or her life, one is denying life to the condemned murderer's possible offspring.
Clearly, if we accept the notion that a stem cell is a human life and destroying it a sin, then killing that killer is too.
Choose one conclusion or the other, for life or not, but note carefully that acccepting the argument that a stem sell constitutes life assumes also that you cannot kill that guy in prison because that is the destroying his or her unborn children.

Politics 101 boys. There are two other bills concerning stem cell research that will fall onto his desk. He will sign one of them. This first bill going through is to provide cover for conservatives who can say they vetoed.... and then forced concessions before passing the next bill. Just a hunch but I will see if I can find anywhere else who sees the same thing.

I am going to stir the pot again if you will allow. I know I probably sound rather opinionated but that should mean I fit in to some extent right?
I have no problem with stem cell research in principle. In and of itself, I find it morally neutral. But I would argue that we are not socially responsible enough to live with the consequences of stem cell research. My underlying premise for this assumption is the 32,000 children that die in this world every day from preventable causes.
Can we be so arrogant as to justify people in the West living longer when it means consuming the very food children in the rest of the world die without? It's not even just that we don't produce enough food; we produce enough to feed the world. At present everyone in the world could be fed a 2500 calorie diet with 3/5 of the world's annual renewable bio-mass. The problem is not logistics either; we lack the will to feed people if we can't turn a profit.
To that end, I hope the president does not pass any of these bills without providing a mechanism for feeding the population that already exists adequately.

Buford,If president Bush is a genius why can't he complete a simple sentence.
The American military got Hussien and won the battles not Bush. He planned nothing all he did was give the green light.
Stand up when President Bush comes on T.V.!!!! I am an American that seved his country when I am in my house watching tv I don't stand up for a pompus ass like Bush and the rest of his criminal brothers.
We fought a war in this country to get away from doing just that.
Getting support from me is something that the president has to earn.
As far as his moral issues goes thats between him and whom ever he thinks is talking to him at the time.
P.S. I know that the the rumor is true that he is boinking Condi

I voted for Bush, twice. My confidence and belief in him has been slowly eroding over the last 6 years. This one pushed me over the edge. I'm now firmly in the Bush bashing camp.
