Might be seeing the real Republican Party ashamed enough of what they let loose on our republic that they are going to take back the GOP from the facist.

bdgee it is my belief that no matter which party is elected, it will make no difference for the average american. both parties are so dependent on special interest money that they have no more ability to respond to the needs of the average taxpayer. we need to get rid of the career politicians and wealthy lawyers and elect some average americans, but the system won't permit that to happen anymore.

66inxs,

You are free to hold such beliefs in this country, but it sort of means you don't care, doesn't it, since the two party system has withstood any and all attacks since the first days of the Republic and stands little chance of ceasing to function.

Patriotism is not declaring you can't do anything about it , just like heroism isn't waiting for someone else to be a hero.

The times are crying out for patriotism and we don't get it from a bunch that hid from any chance of serving their turn and are now plastering real patriots with sickening attacks of "Stay the course" and "We can't cut and run", when they did exactly that when it was their turn.

The only chance ever to eliminate the two party system is to so severly ignore the Constitution that laws can be passed to only permit one party.

Of course, we have already seen how openly this bunch disrespects the Constitution.

bdgee it is not that i don't care but it is a feeling of disenfrancisement and powerlessness over the crap that is going on now. we just need to get the power back down to the people and away from the wealthy power brokers and special interests. the country is not operating as the founding fathers and the constitution designed it to, just my opinion.

btw, i did serve my turn and still hold a reserve commission in the armed services. what exactly is a "real patriot", i would be interested on your definitiom of this term. ty for your thought provoking posts

Bloomberg did it! Hes far from average. Hes also far from a republican.

I agree with you on these career politicians. They play the electoral system like a gazoo these days. Carl Rove got it down to a science...well religion. The way he gave gay marriage a platform in the debates knowing that the democrats would back away and the religious would pounce. Heck ....they infuriated sen. John Edwards into questioning Cheneys daughter as a DYKE during the debates (dopey *******). Think about it ....with all the SHlT going on in the world they managed to make gay marriage one of the KEY topics. The tipping point IMO. LOL and everybody fell for it! Except me ..cause i could care less.

I always enjoy watching these politicians suck up to the latino vote...Bush speaking spanish was HYSTERICAL!

We still have a Constitution? Seems to me that was thrown out about 6 years ago, wasn't it?

Americans see this Republican dominated Government for what it is ,we been in it for over 6 years no more can these people point the finger at the Senate,House, and Superem Court and say they are fulll of democrats and have ruined the plans of the Executive republican branch. For the most part they have voted down party line and we have the biggest mess we have ever had in the Governmemt in 60 years. Take almost any subject that deals with ecology, health care, mis managemnet of public funds, national emergencies, the trashing of constitutional rights.

But hey guess what your guns are safe even though for forty years no Democrat ever took anybodies guns I am sure Bush was the knight in shinning armour for that one, after all is not that what he excells in doing nothing but taking the credit for some one eleses work. Think why would a President like him care about the II amendment when he doesn't care about the others. thank God for the issue of gay rights or Mr. Bush would be down to .1% in the polls the fascist movement would be all he would have and only a part of that because a lot of Nazies were and are Gay

i second pg's nomination, but make Tex her running mate. that covers cali and texas. i'll bet they'd have everyone in washington running for cover. about time !

If I was President, my Secretary of Defense would be Oliver North.
