Hayden Laments Politicization of Intelligence Gathering

7:25 AM PDT, May 18, 2006

WASHINGTON -- CIA nominee Air Force Gen. Michael Hayden complained today that intelligence-gathering has become "the football in American political discourse" since the Sept. 11 terror attacks.

The four-star general said the embattled agency "must be transformed, without slowing the high tempo under which it already operates, to counter today's threats."

he says "politics" is getting in the way?

fire the POLITICIANS then, it was them that politisized it....

Geezz, this guy is already talking like a school boy...I was afraid he would get run over at CIA, but what else could we expect with a Geek in command..

Insiders will eat this Cats lunch, then feed it back to him used.

I don't think we will see any scandals, about this guy....The Boyz want him in! LOL

i just watched Bush say he wants the politics out of washington too????

no lie, he said it in a visit to the Border Patrol...

i'm beginnin to think he's even dumber than he talks and acts [Big Grin]

maybe he just thinks WE are all dumber than he is?
