Has anyone seen this baby yet? WOW!!! 425hp. This will most likely be the car of the year when it comes out! Fine as hell. The front end and rear end look just like the old Dodge Challenger.

Andrew.....

This is exactly what I mean about Chrysler and Ford. They know how to bring back retro cars that look like hot rod muscle cars, a blast from the past. I saw a picture of the new Dodge Challenger for the first time yesterday and I couldn't believe my eyes. What a beauty she is!

As for General Motors, look at their re-makes of the Pontiac GTO, the Chevy Malibu and the Chevy Impala. WHAT THE HELL WERE GM DESIGNERS THINKING OF? They've just insulted what the GTO, the Malibu and Impala once stood for back in the early days. And now they're bringing back the Camaro in 07 or 08??? What's the new Camaro going to look like, the Brady Bunch Station Wagon???

Just happened to see these posts. I saw the Challenger concept today, at the Washington (DC) auto show. I might have bought it on the spot if they were selling it. Can't wait.

GM just debuted a Camaro concept car. Conventional wisdom is that you wouldn't see it till 2008 -09. It's much more vivid than most other GM efforts--maybe too vivid; in the photos I saw, it almost looks like a cartoon car out of Jessica Rabbit. Opinions will differ. If you look for a blog called Autoblog and look back a week or so in the archives, there's much discussion of it, with photos.

Agree that GM in recent years has apparently worked very hard to make their cars boring, and they succeeded. The GTO is a missed opportunity--terrific car in its class, except the styling will cure your insomnia. GM is trying to change that, and the two-seat Solstice, though ergonomically not a great success judging from my visit to the show today, shows they are trying. Love the styling, and according to the PBS show Motorweek, it stacks up pretty well against the Miata.

I was never a Ford or Chrysler guy but my hats off to them for doing such a great job at bringing "Americana" back into automobiles. I've always been a GM dude and I always will be BUT General Motors really needs to shape up on the designs on what was once muscle car hot rods if they're going to bring more back in the future. I am just embarrassed of what GM has done to the Malibu, the Impala and the GTO. I think it would be a great idea to bring the El Camino back since I'm an El Camino freak but I'm just afraid GM will redesign the El Camino to look like something really gay like Barbie-Mobile or something. GM needs to hire auto designers like Ford and Chrysler hires. JEERS for General Motors! Shame on your designs!

Oh, by the way..... WHAT THE HELL IS A COLBALT? Is that how you spell it? COBALT? Where do they find these names to name cars? Another one of GM's lousy designs and to top it off, the gas tank door is on the passenger side. One of my biggest pet peeves is when the gas tank door is located on the passenger side and NOT on the driver's side where it is convenient for the "DRIVER" to fill up his/her vehicle at the gas station. I'm noticing more and more American cars are doing the same as most European vehicles and that is locating the gas tank door on the passenger side. The Chevy Cobalt and the Pontiac G6 have their gas tank doors on the passenger side. They need to QUIT doing that! I don't care how nice a car looks. If the gas tank door is located on the passenger side, I REFUSE TO PURCHASE THAT VEHICLE!!!
