Yawn... Good Morning...Well I'm just sitting here with a huge cup of coffee thinking about all the tasks I need to get done today. It would be much easier if I had had a decent nights sleep; yep the old toss and turn got me again last night. You know the deal; your mind will not shut down you check the clock and count the minutes you have left until you need to get up, toss, turn repeat.... For myself sleepless nights has been decreasing as I get older "Thank God". There was a time for me when insomnia could last for weeks and began to occur about 22 years ago. I developed a few ways to help myself sleep. The really only effective way I stumbled upon was in the transition of summer to fall season as I removed the airconditioner from the window. It had been a restful summer until I took the airconditioner out and began having trouble sleeping. I realized that the white noise and the cool air fascilitated my rest. I then began to use a fan at night and always crack my window for cool air durring the winter months. I have since evolved to using an air purifier because I get the duel benefit of cleaner air and white noise. In my opinion it's not a selling point for me when an air purifier claims to be silent "the louder the better". etc... Anyhow I got to get ready for the day, I would love to here some other peoples Insomnia stories and ways that they combat the problem; personally I'm not big on pumping myself full of Ambien, Lunesta etc. to get sleep so maybe someone has a more natural way to ease the transition into that wonderful place we call sleep. -Mag

"Drink warm milk before bedtime. In addition to being soothing, milk and dairy products contain tryptophan, a natural sleep enhancer. Plus, the warmth may temporarily increase your body temperature and the subsequent drop may hasten sleep. Other foods which contain tryptophan may also help – see below under "Get up and eat some turkey." for more information about tryptophan."

Does Tylenol PM fall into that catergory? I only use it once in awhile, and mostly when I travel and there is a time change.
I also have to have white noise.
Good luck getting some sleep! Those sites look great from Bdgee.
Here's something else I found: Insomnia Card is very useful in insomnia. The patient should take plenty of curd and massage in on the head. This will induce sleep.
Honey is a very useful in Insomnia. It should be taken with water ,before going to bed ,in doses of two teaspoons in a large cup of water.

Kool. Thanks! I think this bottle of Pinot Noir and some movies with the old lady should do the trick tonight. LMAO my wife yelled to me that she is cooking sloppy joes so maybe I'll drink a couple beers with that first. BTW Tex I know cherries are rich with melatonin but whats with da blueberries? Speaking of cherries and beer, ever had Samual Adams Cherrywheat Beer? Now that's some good sleeping medicine!
