lets just call it coincidence that that defense secretary Rumsfeld used to work for a company, and holds millions in stock options, that holds the sole patent on the the medication that treats the bird flu that they are talking about every 15 minutes on the news. And the government has placed its order for 20,000,000 doses at $100 each.

lets just call it coincidence that vice president dick cheney used to be the ceo of halliburton, a company that has recieved billions in no-bid contracts from the government to rebuild iraq after we destroy it. And with their prestige accounting practices have "lost" 9 billion dollars in the process.

lets just call it coincidence that Hamid Karzai the person that was "elected" to president of afghanistan used to be a consultant to UNOCAL, who have been trying to build an oil pipeline through afghanistan since 1997. But found the Taliban to be "troublesome" for pipeline construction.

lets just call in coincidnece that richard perle who is chairman of the defense policy board and close advisor to Defense secretary donald rumsfeld. Who was really pushing for the war with iraq, is also a managing partner in a venture-capital company called Trireme Partners L.P., who's main business is to invest in companies dealing in technology, goods, and services that are of value to homeland security and defense. And wrote letters to arms brokers in saudi arabia stating that that the fear of terrorism would increase the demand for such products in Europe and in countries like Saudi Arabia and Singapore.
Larry Noble, the executive director of the Washington-based Center for Responsive Politics, a nonprofit research organization, said of Perle’s Trireme involvement, “It’s not illegal, but it presents an appearance of a conflict. It’s enough to raise questions about the advice he’s giving to the Pentagon and why people in business are dealing with him.”

lets just call it coincidence that George shultz, who is the former U.S. Secretary of State under Ronald Reagan, former president of Bechtel, and a current Bechtel director. He also serves on the Committee for the Liberation of Iraq. Shultz's company recieved contracts to rebuild iraq totalling 1.3 billion. So he is on the comittee promoting war with iraq and also sitting as a director of a company getting to rebuild when we are done. Hmmm. some more things i found about shultz is as Secretary of State, Schultz sent Donald Rumsfeld to Iraq to discuss with Saddam Hussein a Bechtel contract for an oil pipeline to Jordan. In 1988 just after Saddam Hussein had earned international condemnation for using poisonous gas against thousands of Kurds, he also signed contracts with Iraq to build a dual-use chemical plant in Baghdad. Shultz also sits on Gileads board (Gilead owns the rights to tamiflu) and has sold 7 million woth of stock this year. 52 week low 30, high 51.
(unrelated to this topic but shultz was also a leading advisor to nixon on taking the country off the gold standard)
It seems that Betchtel has been well-connected with the government for decades. According to Wikipedia.com
current and former Executives are as follows:

Riley P. Bechtel is the CEO of Bechtel. With a net worth of $3.2 billion, he is the 50th richest person in the U.S. and the 127th richest in the world. In February 2003, he was appointed by President George W. Bush to the Export Council, which advises the president on international trade issues.
George P. Shultz is the former U.S. Secretary of State under Ronald Reagan, former president of Bechtel, and a current Bechtel director. He also serves on the Committee for the Liberation of Iraq.
Caspar Weinberger served as the United States Secretary of Defense under Ronald Reagan. Prior to holding this position, Weinberger was the Vice President, Director, and General Counsel of the Bechtel Group of companies.
Gen. John J. Sheehan, USMC (ret.) is the former NATO Supreme Allied Commander, Atlantic and the former Special Advisor to Asia for the U.S. Defense Department. Sheehan currently serves as Bechtel's General Manager of the Petroleum and Chemical Business Unit for Europe/Africa/Middle East/South West Asia and is also a Bechtel partner. He is also a member of the Defense Policy Board.
Ross J. Connelly is the former CEO of Bechtel Energy Resources Corporation. He currently serves on the Overseas Private Investment Corporation under George W. Bush.
W. Kenneth Davis is a former Bechtel senior vice-president and is the former U.S. Deputy Energy Secretary.

These are my personal findings. What do you guys think? Discuss.

some things never change... these guys would most likely have been hired if Kerry were elected too... or maybe it woulda been their "black sheep" cousins; gotta keep it in the family [Roll Eyes]

the problem i have with it is when the killing, lying and stealing starts...
lying and stealiong are just satus quo, but when people die to facilitate the lying and stealing then somebody needs to be held accountable...

it is good research, these guys are probably all 33rd degree members of the illuminati or some such other secret handshake club [Wink]
