On two evening news programs, on different networks, I heard reports of open gun battles between Syrian and US troups along the border between Iraq and Syria.

Is this the opening round of an invasion of another country?

Is this a guise to ward off or buffer news coverage of the existing criminal charges against Delay and of what surely looks like soon to be even more serious criminal charges against Libby and Rove at least?

Now to stir up some thing to spat with Iran about and guess what we have"? A two front war! (Meanwhile, back at the ranch and North Korea got away with openly having "nuk-u-lar" bombs.)

If left unchecked by the American people the war will expand there is no other choice. If America stays the course like Mr. Bush wants we will beforced to take out the safe area's of the terrorist or what ever you want to call them,it should be clear to all at this time they are not going away.I don't claim to be an expert on why they are there fighting i just know they don't want Hussien back in power and they want us to leave. Syira is the weak link between Iran and Syria so they will go first. This could be very dangerous for us and i don't think most Americans have the stomach for it because of the changes that will happen like a draft to start with.imho

cyclekitty1, Hahahaha....I remember that old joke...

bond006,

Most Americans never imagined they were supporting an effort of a president that participated in concocting a collections of huge dangerous lies, designed to trick them and Congress into allowing a crooked Administrtation to wage war on a country with whom we had no genuine quarrel. The Administration, now, genuainely wants to expand the hostilities becaues it is the nature of the American People to stand behind their president against any and all foreigh forces and they are hoping that will spill over to forgetting about the past lies and the future criminal charges.

Looks like george and frankie have a little bit of common reasoning.

I think from what I am reading and hearing, most americans would NOT support expanded warfare. (well at least I hope that is the case.) And we can always hope someone truly qualified will step up to the plate in 3 years. (Ha did I just say that? everyone knows that truly qualified people DO NOT enter into politics!)

The "war" is a global war... Iraq is but a battle.
Syria.. Iran... Korea... and a few African nations are all on the list...

You were not paying attention to All the reasons given.
Glass, who knows what any of them are up to... truly scary to think about...

Oh and Bdgee, good job on misspelling the word expanding on the title for this thread... surely those who read it will not use it as an excuse to discount anything you say.

Oops, missed the d in expanding. Hey, I hadn't realized that.....sorry I didn't intend to confuse you. I can spell, somewhat, just can't type worth a dang. Thanks for bringing that to my attention, RiescoDiQui. (Or were you wanting to turn this thread into a P---ing contest to change the subject, hoping to drown out the truth?)

And you know it was all lies too, you are just unable to acept the facts. At least I hope you aren't dumb enough to still believe that crap about WMDs and Saddam harboring al qeauda(sp?) and all that crap they faked?

There were NO reasons ever stated for invading Iraq before doing so that involved over throwing Saddam or throwing out a dictaator or anything close to those bringing democracy to Iraq. Indeed, dubya specifically stated he wouldn't invade Iraq or any other country for "nation building" or to remove its leaders and that during his presidency we would NOT be interfering with the governments of other countries, because we are not the world's policemen.

Bush is a liar and if, after learning what we all know about his rush to invade Iraq, if you still believe he was telling the truth, you need some help.

Hate to tell you, but we aren't loosing in Iraq, we have lost.

we lost a lot of things going into Iraq but we haven't lost the battle....

i think that the biggest thing lost has been integrity....
bdgee is right Bush clearly said he opposed the "nation building" that Clinton's admin had participated in.. instead? he took it to a whole new level....

as the Plame affair unfolds it will become even more clear that the politicians "forced" the intel they wanted to bring a war they had beeen wanting for years...

I feel sorry for people that bought into the BS from Bush that there was ANY reason to invade Iraq.

I fully supoport the actions in Afganistan, until they became just a side issue and it was used to justify the Iraq invasion. But those that bought into the crap about atom bombs and terrorist and WMDs and Ben Laden in Iraq must have a horrible feeling deep inside their gut now that we know how big the lies were.
