You MUST know the background of Flora Homma before you read any of this. She is the most mean, most ugly, most murderous woman in all of Eagletown history. Tex is in love with her!

We have moved into a discussion of "Flora Homma" not "Flora Homer" as I reported to you a day or two back. I based that on a phone conversation to Missouri and did not account for accent.
It is our darn Okie accent leading me to an "R" on the end, much as we say "warsh" instead of "wash" as should be. I still turn an "A" into an "AR" when I do not focus on covering up my accent, not that I am not proud to be an Okie, but my professors frown when I lecture like a hick.
This is California, not Oklahoma.
Flora was murdered by Nudy White, a white man, who had married her barely a year earlier. One year after they married, Nudy killed her. A week after he killed her, he sold land belonging to Flora. Later, Jincy sued Nudy to get some of the money from the land.
An attorney, a very young attorney, Edward LeForce, was involved in the case. He is or was a close friend of our family and told my elders about the Homma legal case. This is how they came to know what happened.
Nudy killed Flora for her land! Perfect Karma. Flora killed her first husband, and her last husband killed her!
Logical he would be the "last" husband, yes?
Get this, nobody knows how many times she married and rumor is Flora was married to two or three men, all at the same time! She was married to both white men and Choctaws, and the men didn't know.
Jincy once lived up at the river, an area we call Mountain Fork. Nice swimming hole up there, under a really tall bridge which came out of the forest, then went right back into it, like no beginning, no end; just a bridge to nowhere. The road to Jincy's house was right along the way!
So now I am being teased about something I do not remember. Back then, they took all of us kids to the river to picnic and swim. We were told to take our clothes off and jump in. I took that literally, and took ALL my clothes off, instead of down to my underwear. Seems a lifelong habit as well; I still swim in the nude whenever possible. I am comfortable about that.
That day and for a few weeks after, the young kids, like myself, started calling me Nudy White because my butt was so white! I don't remember, but talk of swimming in the river, my habit of taking off my clothes, often when I shouldn't, brought mention of Nudy White. Next I know, they are talking about Flora Homma and mention the attorney, DeForce.
I figured if an attorney is involved, there is bound to be a court case.
Here is that court case, Kenny. I urge you, strongly urge you to take a little time to read this case. Being a well educated man, you will delight in the history of Flora Homma and Jincy, well presented,
I gave you my word I would bring you stories of your family and Eagletown. Please, Kenny, remember the Marrs family as those who always keep their word, always. I don't care if you forget me, I am nothing in the grand scheme of things, just remember the Marrs family is the most honest family you will ever know. Tell Eagletown that, for me.

speaking of witches, diableras, etc--had one single me out once, in Oaxaca, Oaxaca...one strong glance in the lower-whites of her yellowed eyes convinced me to run for my life-energy. So I did, as fast as my scared, ex-outside linebacker legs would carry me. Much to the amusement of locals, I'm sure.
wily, if you miss the other post, my humble suggestion is see what you can turn up re Miss Flora's childhood...

Now, Lady Purl, just back a month or two you were accusin Tex of being a mite too close with sheep and other Aggieisms and leaving the impression he was sort of a bit weird in sexual leanings. I have to step up now and defend Tex, 'cause it ain't his fault that female animals of any and every type try to cotten up aside o' him. It's because the good Lord made him that way to give female animals a notion of why they are!
