" A new classified report by the Central Intelligence Agency said Iraq could be an even more effective training ground for Islamic terrorists than Afghanistan was under the Taliban, U.S. officials said. The report said would-be terrorists are flocking to Iraq and gaining practical experience in urban combat techniques they may take back and use in their home countries."

It was funny, I actually almost soiled myself when I heard the report. When I was over in The Peoples Free Republic of Halliburton (IRAQ for the uninitiated) there was a would be suicide bomber showing off his new vest to his family. He inadvrtently set it off in the house with his family present. Then there was the guy building one in his garage.....same thing happened as in the example above. I saw that one go, it was impressive.

June 26 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said insurgent violence in Iraq may continue for a decade or longer and it will be up to the Iraqi forces, rather than U.S. troops, to end it...
...warned Rumsfeld during a hearing last week that public support for the war is dwindling.
"Insurgencies tend to go on five, six, eight, ten, twelve years," Rumsfeld said.
The violence may also increase as the transition government in Iraq draws closer to drafting a constitution, he said. While daily attacks continue to claim the lives of U.S. troops, their Iraqi allies and civilians, the political progress in Iraq is "amazing," Rumsfeld said....

A deeply religious person who, based on that religion, does something unreasonable to others is not crazy, he is devout. The "terrorist", of the moment, have a belief system intensly foreign to us, which, if you bother to consider it honestly, is entirely normal and sane, if you happen to be subject to that belief system. It may be crazy to us, after all, they ARE foreign, to us, so why should we expect them to be subject to out belief system? Calling them crazy serves no purp[ose other than to scratch our itchy egos.

Religion is based on delusional idea. A religious believer has delusional thinking, albeit culturally acceptable delusional thinking. A religous devotee is crazy to some extent is harboring delusional ideas. All religions inject morality, of some sort, into the basic levels of ontology, and this is a delusion notion. Ideas like: Christ walked on water, and fed a large crowd with a handful of food, and raised the dead, and came back to full incarnate life (not just as an apparition) himself after dying, just add more delusions to the religion - in this case Christian.

More comforting to look only at the shadows of falseness.
