Once again the nutsy right-to-lifers are trying to block stem cell research with embryos that otherwise would be thrown in the garbage.
There is nothing precious about life except the life of you or your loved ones, and precious only to yourself and them.
God doesn't care if you live or die, or get hurt or not, or win the lottery or not.
The idea that life is sacred represents over generalized thought from inductive abstraction, with a lack of intellectual discrimination. You feel good and are happy, and say to yourself, "Life is wonderful." You then feel love for everyone in a universal love feeling. From this is abstracted the idea that all life is precious.
The reality is that the world would be a better place if many, many people were killed or died. If all illegal aliens were shot as they tried to cross the border the USA would have far less crime, less unemployment, better wages for the poor, and far less drain on welfare, Social Security, educational and medical expenses.
Universal love is a result of thought disorder that feels good as an ideal, but is not based in reality. Application in government policies is not appropriate and creates more harm ultimately than good.
Don't throw those embryos away - use them to save lives and cure disease, or at least put them in a bottle and let the right-to-lifers worship them.

we Americans have the education, money and all the resources to lead the next "silicon revolution" only it would really be the "carbon revolution" and the way things are going right now? the asians are going to OWN IT ALL......
