It surely would be helpful if, as it is with the last post in a thread, the date of the initial post of a thread were there besides the poster's name. It would help those amongst the readership trying to read through things to learn "whatever" to know if a thread with a recent last post actually was started 10 days ago or 10 months ago or 10 years ago.
