Vision Works Media Group, Inc. Acquires Orlando Channel 29, Inc.
Vision Works Media Group, Inc. (Pink Sheets:VWMG) announced today they have acquired Orlando Channel 29, Inc. Orlando Channel 29, Inc. is a management company with terrestrial broadcasting operations. Orlando Channel 29, Inc. will be the broadcast platform to show the programming of Vision Works Media Group, Inc.
Matthew Clapp, has been appointed as the president of Orlando Channel 29, Inc. The purchase price of the acquisition was shares of restricted stock of VWMG. Mr. Clapp said, "VWMG is a tremendous company with unlimited opportunities, and I believe its wholly owned subsidiary, New Screen Television, is about to make television history. Its programming will make watching films on TV fun and cutting edge again. I'm thrilled that Channel 29 can bring New Screen TV to the Orlando market." New Screen TV's independent films range from feature length movies to shorts, comedies, documentaries and animations.
Mark Astrom, President of Vision Works Media Group, Inc. said, "Channel 29 is an important part of VWMG's local broadcasting plans, and will continue to be when the service begins dual-casting New Screen Television to pay-TV distributors." New Screen Television is developing pay-TV distribution in addition to its terrestrial signal broadcast in Orlando. The company will be putting out two signals, each with different advertising packages, similar to WGN in Chicago.
