is this the big box you reach into that puts gloves on for you? if so, then i say its a no go.
my 2 cents
Stephen F. Owens, president of American Fire Retardant Corp., said, "Responding to suggestions from groups who had seen the original model demonstrated, the GloveBox was redesigned to make it portable. So the new, portable GloveBox will be completed and ready for a public demonstration at the research center in San Diego and is located at 6156 Mission Gorge Road. As I said in earlier press releases, we feel the successful demonstrations done earlier and this demonstration will show that the GloveBox will have a strong demand in the medical field and other related fields that require sterile environments."

if that's the "glovebox" i am thinking of then i think its a good idea that very few will buy. too costly and no hospital/clinic will buy these in bulk. too expensive and there are other means of infection control measures out there we learn in medicine that cost nothing!!!good idea but bad investment imo.

i saw a site that showed it and it looked big...not huge, bigger than a simple box of gloves we use in the ER or in patient's rooms. i believe the cost was like $4,000 (but i am not 100% correct on this or if this was bulk or unit cost).
the fact is, being a healthcare provider myself we generally try to practice sterile technique as much as possible but in reality we just tend to grab gloves and go.
like i said, this is a great idea!!! however, in reality, i don't see hospitals paying for this. hospitals are all about the bottom line. moreover, if 100% sterile technique is desired, its usually done in the OR or sterile gloves are used (like for suturing) and you put them on in a particular way that goes against touching parts of the gloves...we learn this early.
my 2 cents again

Be nice to back around .45 or at least .005-my limit order but I wont sell this till 3-1-04 because I think these stocks that havent moved b/c mm may rubberband at soar if it hits the .45 on the other hand thats different. thats one possibilty. Havent heard anything from the trial hoping that will be one of dogs quick action news reports.

Spoke with Jim Wheeler at corporate. Said demo of GolveBox went very well. Product will be ready for mass production in approximately 90 days. Audience consisted of reps from Asia -- Philippines, Singapore, China. They "all wanted to place orders -- but we won't take any until it ready"
That statement does not make any business sense. How does a company determine production schedules, labor force requirements, raw material needs, stocking levels, etc.? By taking advance orders for a product, building a backlog of orders, working off of that backlog and adding more orders to it, thereby determining future needs. It's that simple. So, what exactly is Mr. Wheeler saying? They're going to engineer, prototype, demonstrate, and be within 90 days of a finished, marketable mass produced product but they aren't going to accept any orders yet? Come on! Something is not right here!
