Cargo Connection Logistics Corp. Prepares to Assist Three of the Nation's Largest Airlines That will be Affected by Hurricane Rita
INWOOD, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 23, 2005--Cargo Connection Logistics Holding, Inc. (OTCBB:CRGO), today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Cargo Connection Logistics Corp., is preparing to help their customers (three of the nation's largest airlines) reroute the freight of its clients with Texas-based hubs affected by Hurricane Rita. The Company said it is expecting that the Airlines that have hubs in Texas will have to reroute their wide body aircraft to alternate ports to keep all their freight moving by diverting the freight from those Texas hubs to alternate ports.
According to Jesse Dobrinsky, president of Cargo Connection Logistics Corp., the Company's facilities located in Atlanta (27,500 sq ft), Miami (36,500 sq ft) and New York (80,000 sq ft) are ready as the company is prepared for what it anticipates will be significant additional volume.
"While we are hopeful our customers will avoid any major damage from the potential disaster of the magnitude of Rita, we are prepared to handle the additional volume this will, in all likelihood, create," said Dobrinsky. "Our hope is that these areas are spared any major damage but it appears that Rita is unfortunately on target to cause more devastation."
Dobrinsky said the Company's facilities are braced for the increased volume and all Cargo personnel are on 24 hour alert. He stressed that until the storm passes through there is no indication as to how long the customers will have to reroute freight originally bound for Texas destinations.
