CURRENT BUSINESS NOTES : NA ABRIDGED BUSINESS SUMMARY : Aura Systems, Inc. designs, assembles and sells the AuraGen, a mobile power generator that uses the engine of a vehicle to generate power. AuraGen units have been sold to more than 500 customers in more than 10 industries, including recreational, utilities, telecommunications, emergency/rescue, public works, catering, oil and gas, transportation, government and the military. Until 1992, the Company was engaged in supplying defense technology to classified military programs. During the fiscal year ended February 29, 2004 (fiscal 2004), Aura Systems received a contract from the Army, under a Federal fiscal 2004 budget line item, to improve system elements, conduct an operational field evaluation with several Army Commands, and test and qualify the VIPER (the military version of the AuraGen) as an approved system kit. ABRIDGED FINANCIAL SUMMARY : For the nine months ended 11/30/04, net revenues increased 43% to $1.9 million. Net loss before extraordinary items totaled $30.8 million, up from $7.7 million. Revenues reflect the increased sale of existing customer and more new military customers. Higher loss reflects an increase in interest expenses.
