oinless Systems, Inc. was formed as a Nevada Corporation by the merger of D&J Enterprises International, Inc., A Nevada Corporation and D. S. G., Inc., A California Corporation, with Medical Resources Technologies, Inc. A Nevada Corporation. This merger took place February 12, 1999. The corporate name was changed to Coinless Systems, Inc., on August 12, 1999.

Coinless Systems is a developer of Ticket based gaming devices, methods and systems.

The management team at CSI has amassed over 20 years of gaming industry experience and 30 years of bar code printing and recognition experience.

CSI has historically placed its primary focus on development of bar code printers for use in gaming devices. The company focus has recently moved away from manufacturing to licensing of it's patented Scan After Print™ technology.

UVASHIELD® is a coating applied to ultraviolet ray sensitive media and functions as an ultraviolet ray absorbing agent which inhibits ultraviolet ray reaction. UVASHIELD® coating is applied directly to thermal label stock at the label press. These labels are used in direct thermal printers and imaged through the UVASHIELD® coating.

LIGHT FASTNESS

Barcodes are scanned by interpretation of light reflection. Control of background color of the media directly affects print contrast and scannability. All media use brightening agents that react to ultraviolet rays in the ultraviolet B range (250 to 320 nanometers), causing color changes and subsequent failure in scannability. The greater the contrast in color value between the barcode and background color facilitates the scanning. UVASHIELD® helps to maintain this difference.

WATER RESISTANCE

UVASHIELD® creates a dimensionally stable coating of the thermal coating and makes the label waterproof.

CHEMICAL RESISTANCE

UVASHIELD® coated labels can be cleaned by wiping with detergents. However, soaking of coated labels in various chemicals is not advised because wicking through the media can occur, subsequently harming the thermal coating.

SCRATCH RESISTANCE

UVASHIELD® coating enhances scratch resistance through a cross- linked polymerized coating and silicone additive slip agents.

ACCIDENTAL CONTAMINATION

Accidental contamination by grease and oil on the surface of the imaged label can be easily wiped off the UVASHIELD® coating and will not harm the image on the label.

THERMAL HEAD LIFE

The UVASHIELD® coating on direct thermal label stock reduces the abrasion of the label stock to the thermal head because of the glassier and harder surface produced by the polymerization attained through radiation curing as well as the silicon slip functional element present in the UVASHIELD® coating.
