have owned a small stake in this one for awhile. i like GACF: some decent top and bottom line revenue growth the last few years. seem to be working to clean up their balance sheet. backlog looks good. i expect their next Q to be good, considering they had to defer their jetglobal profit from 1Q to 2Q but took a hit on jetglobal expenses in 1Q, as discussed here:

http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/060516/20060516005389.html?.v=1

likely too boring for many here, but - am hopeful for slow and steady growth from GACF. is generally my kind of stock.

Dusty, this is a pretty darn good find.

Just finished researching. Very good financials
and a very low float. Asset to Liability ratio
is great, increasing revenues, nice profit,
seems a stable and sound company. My opinion
is this company is undervalued.

Called several friends and suggested a buy.
I will be buying tomorrow morning.

Very nice find, Dustoff. If this is good
enough for Blue, certainly bound to be
a winner.

6/1/06 8:48 AM *********.com profiled it...
Leeds also likes it..

I'm going super conservative,,, after I clear up a few other risky stocks..

APA is on my thought list, might actually grab a long position...

This one? I'll be happy with a 50% gain over the next few months..Only bought 1200 shrs, so I will add if I see a move upward.

P/E at 12.40 on a OTCBB very nice.

pump pump pump pump it up!!!!! leeds will pump every now and then. and everytime he pumps the stock loses 2-3%. i have made decent profits with his picks but am not confident of holding hi s picks above 10% gain. my favourite is scld. cant beleive why it is at 1.4. guess his pumping really pulls down the value of the stock. nevertheless his picks are always good and he goes after profitable companies, but one thing his picks lack is momo. so take the profits and runn.. buy it..pump it.. take profit.. runnnn...

ruskin, small caps are on the skids a bit because of interest rates...

Leeds? I like to use him as a template...I do comparisons of other stocks using his criteria..Funny thing? I've made more money finding other stocks using his techniques than I have on his picks..

I also use leeds to reinforce my decision on stocks I am working........ If he should happen to pick one of them, great, reinforcement of a stock, when you can trust the source sometimes helps in making the decision to go long or short term.

NAVI is an example of blind luck...I found it completely by accident..I was lookig for stocks for comparisan...

Nasdaq NAVI Close at $4.00 posted it at $1.25
Something about the stock remided me of a Leeds pick, go figger.

I allowed my Leeds subscription to expire
a few months back, after three years of use.

Leeds is good for picks but you have to
be careful. A little more than half are
good picks, the rest seem to be stagnant.

Some of his tutorials are good. I like
his discussion of PEG stocks. I downloaded
all those for periodic refreshers.

Do not laugh at me. You know I am trouble.

Leeds and I became involved in a real heated
argument. I kinda sorta chewed him out, maybe
called him a few names, but not until the
end of our conversation!

I became angry because of his announcement
of picks and such on Tuesday night and on
Thursday night. Every morning, major gap up
in prices, often beyond realistic. Nobody
could jump in at a decent price. I suggested
he was working with brokers and market makers,
giving them his picks before publishing. He
seemed offended, do not know why.

Each pick went crazy because newbies would
buy like crazy on announcement, after market
makers ran prices up, causing a speculation
bubble which would burst in a few days. This
led to traders, some traders, losing money.

I insisted he publish his picks during market
day, like middle of the day so we all could be on
a level playing field, not a market maker field.

He refused, adamantly refused. I suggested his
stance is illogical. Time of publishing his picks
has no effect on him, personally. He claims to
have no vested interest. So why not give all a
fair and square chance at buying without market
makers running prices up before market? Nope,
he will not do this. He will publish after market.

That is when I started becoming angry and suggested
he is working in collusion with Wall Street. He
became more mad than me. I might have used some
words like, "idiot," "crook," "F-word you."

Anyhow, Leeds is good for finding some picks
but the playing field he creates is far from
level. Never buy his picks on the morning after
publication; you will get burnt everytime.

Is he working in collusion with Wall Street?
I do not know, I am voicing an opinion. Most
likely not but he sure is not giving customers
an even break, paying customers at that.

Have to add that disclaimer so the anal retentive
boys here will not turn me in to the Brain Police.

Kinda annoying you have to be careful with your
words because there are some here who delight
in filing complaints with the SEC, companies,
moderators, whomever, simply to get rid of you
because they do not like what you write.

Are those glossy black jack boots I hear goose stepping?

Well, tomorrow should tell the story...The volume alert this AM before the pick came out was a little cozy....

Dernit, really liked the stock, now? well, hell I still do! Maybe this one will break the Leeds mold of late and gain and hold the way they are supposed to!

BTW no big secret that I post a Leeds pick occasionaly, been doing it over a year..I almost always say it's a Leeds pick.

yeah, his tutorials are decent though.

i use one of the posts in allstocks as my base reference. the best post that has changed my whole approach towards markets in gebneral and penny stocks in particular. in 2000's around that time, i used to like a company based on technology, me being a hardcore techie guy, liked stocks like SGID, CRAY, Transmeta, probably just because their technology was jaw dropping and I had authority on that suject. but now, i have learnt to be a more patient trader, and see stocks as just a piece of exchange commodity, buy low sell high thing. I am tempted to post that small piece of post that i came across several months ago in allstocks. i read it everytime i realise i made a mistake, and remind myself that smartest people are those who make money in the market and average joe just feels that he is making progress but he never really gets there.

Stage 1 - Accumulation. Stock is quiet, trading sideways and without a lot of volatility. Most everyone ignores the stock because it has no sizzle. Insiders hold large blocks of stock and quietly gear up for the distribution.
Stage 2 - Breakout. Volume jumps up, psychological barriers are broken. Insiders begin to tell their friends of upcoming significant fundamental change. Pros take notice and buy the stock on the coat tails of the well informed. The public ignores it because they have not read about the company in the paper yet. It must be a scam.
Stage 3 - Uptrend. As a larger audience learns of the company and its promise, more buying comes in to the stock and it begins to climb. Pros begin to sell, but slowly. Average investor begins to buy.
Stage 4 - Pullback. The stock has gone up too fast, and some profit taking arrives. The jumpy investor who got the entry timing right but lacks confidence in his or her decision sells the stock with a small profit, and smiles in the mirror. The Pro holds on, Average Investor looks through the newspaper to find justification for ownership of the shares.
Stage 5 - Resumption of the Uptrend. The pull back is short lived, and the stock bounces and continues higher. The wannabe regrets the sell, but provides self counsel on the merit of making a profit, albeit a small one. The Pro might sell a little bit more, but still holds the majority of the original position. The Average Investor is getting excited now, and thinks about what could have been if only he had bought when he first noticed the stock.
Stage 6 - Exhaustion of the Uptrend. The media takes notice, and communicates the company's merits to the masses. The masses buy the stock, and it goes up sharply with strong volume. The Pros sell with enthusiasm. The Average Investor owns it now, and is telling everyone who will listen. The wannabe Pro jumps back on, after all, he was smart enough to buy it when the trend started, so he knows the stock well. Will hope make it go higher?
Stage 7 - Gravity Works. Pro selling begins to weigh on the uptrend, and the stock fails to go higher despite high volumes. The stock starts to go down instead of up, and the Pro is almost sold out. The Average Investor continues to cheer lead, hoping to rally support. The wannabe ignores what the market is telling him, taking a loss is too painful to consider. The company is featured on the cover of a magazine.
Stage 8 - The Second Guess. The stock bounces and starts to go back up. The wannabe Pro averages down while the Average Investor gets back to advising friends of his stock picking acumen. Pros sell their remaining holdings and begin to look for another deal to play, or perhaps start short selling the stock.
Stage 9 - Out of Gas. The bounce is a fake out, and the stock moves lower again. The public own this stock, and they have no more power to buy. The Pro are making money on the short sales now, but are despised by the masses. Calls for short selling to be made illegal are made by the Average Inves

Well, if folks are interested in this stock, they should of done the DD by now..

Blue, Purl, and Ruskin have weighed in..
Myself? I am biased because I already own the stock...

Leeds himself states folks should wait till the initial flury subsides a bit before buying.

I bought fast because of my preliminary look see.
I have DD'D the stock in the past, but didn't buy.
Many of the Vets around here know I run nearly 1000 stocks, have pleaded repeatidily with them
for HELP!, to the point of being a pest! LOL

Sometimes when Leeds matches a stock I have already DD'D and news conviently breaks around the time the pick comes out, well, it just makes making a decision easier...

So to Sum up!!!!!!!! What the HELL do ya'll think this morning!! LOL

Maybe Leeds changed his ways after getting chewed out by Purl...He posts during the day now on thurs...LOL

a slow steady building upward pressure.

Up volume is quite a bit more than down volume.

or early two weeks from now.

Poop, I have to go to Los Angeles to help bring
home a truck from a wholesale auto auction.

Have to stop playing Wall Street Trader
for the day.

I hate Los Angeles. Those people are
crazy down there.

Purl Gurl

what'd y'all buy now?

Posted by Purl Gurl on :

Not "yall" what did HE buy?

We run a small business, wholesale cars.

Requires a state license, bonding and all
that. We can get into wholesale auctions,
same as dealerships; chevy, toyota, et al.

I am actually a state licensed salesperson!
Have to carry an id which looks just like
a driver's license.

My old man is the "dealer" and I work for him.

He finds and buys good deals on wholesale cars,
drags 'em back here, touches them up, then sells
them, wholesale, to big dealerships. He usually
clears $500 to $1000 per car, about one day
work for each.

Problem is, I am also his driver. I don't have
a clue what type of truck I will be driving back
from Los Angeles. He just yelled up the stairs,

"Get your clothes on, Taha. You are driving
a truck back from Los Angeles."

I hate wearing clothes. I hate going to Los Angeles.

Did I tell you about driving a Mitsi Starion
to Las Vegas with absolutely no brakes? Another
one of his wonder childs. Lost the brakes just
a few miles from home, decided not to tell him
and just keep going. Drove 250 miles with no
brakes. Paid him back. He had to fix the brakes
in the parking lot of a hotel.

He would not let me drive home.

I forgave him, though, he cleared $1500 on
the car and I got to eat a lot of good food.

Heh, heh, heh, love those thrills. Those little
Mitsi Starion cars are quite the hotrods, but
not dependable and expensive to keep up. Spin
doughnuts really nice, though.

Rear passenger side caliper fell off a few
miles from home. Blew out all the brake fluid,
what the heck. Who needs brakes when you have
things to crash into on the way to Vegas?

Say, did I tell you about coasting down a
long grade just outside State Line? Yep,
one-hundred-fifty miles per hour, in neutral,
dead engine, Mercury Sable. Just made it to
State Line, coasted right into a hotel lot.
Husband did not catch up for a half hour.

He was pissed. Heck, why wait two hours for
an expensive tow truck when you can make like
a rocket on the downside of a grade?

Today's truck, 2005 Toyota Tacoma, all options,
access cab, 11,000 miles, repossession, $15,000

Wholesale book: $17,000
Retail book: $21,000

I hate Los Angeles.

He will take me to Fairy Queen, tonight, for
an ice cream reward. Just what my butt needs.

heh, this turned into quite the amusing and meandering thread: quite amusing about both the brakes and peter leeds. already more of interest here in 2 pages, than there were in all 7535 pages of the dribbling nonsense NDOL thread.

maybe harry fahman and leeds can get together and trade sob stories about being taken to task by you, purl! i still snicker about that one. i'd pay good money to see you go after who really should be next on your list: joey and bernie of RVMN/RVNM/RVMO/whatever the hell it is these days.

There is some moderately decent upward
pressure forming for GACF stock.

I have noted UBSS and NITE are on the
bid side, but absent from the ask side;
both are far above current MM asks.

My hope is UBSS and NITE will not be
able to play GACF stock.

Right now, only ARCA is on the current ask.

Maybe this upward pressure will continue
to build and a mild break out will occur.
Not sure on this, just yet, but very early
signs are present for a mild upswing.

Purl, I found it interesting that no mutual fund owns this stock (unsure what that means but probably negative). There was some insider buying in April & May in the 1.20's. It looks like it was forming a little bowl until it's gap today. I took a 1/4 position this morning, strictly as a chart trade - the fundies are a bit murky.

Didn't know if you knew this or not but UBSS is usually the broker of record for Charles Schwab for stocks under $10.00.

Posted by Dustoff101 on :

Amelia, don't think a reputable mutual fund is allowed to play the cheap stuff, specialy an OTCBB..But could be wrong.

Posted by Amelia on :

Dustoff, I think you're mostly correct. As part of their charter, most MF's aren't allowed to own stocks under $5.00. I think there are one or two funds that own otcbb offerings only, I'll try to dig up their tickers. It would be interesting to see what they own & how they are doing. I read somewhere that there are overseas funds that invest in them, it may have been in an article at thestreet.com - I'm not sure.

GSCF has settled back down to $1.25 & I'm underwater by a penny. I'm unable to place a stoploss on it but my line in the sand is $1.18.

Posted by Amelia on :

GACF printed a nasty dark candle today (along with the rest of the market), altho I did notice a large block bidder at $1.20 at the close (the broker was CRTC). I'm giving it up at $1.18 for a 6% loss. This market is acting sickly, not a time to be a hero. GACF is a nice idea at the wrong time.

Posted the damn thing about a year ago at .44 played it a few times and then just didn't trust the play after the delisting notification...

Just didn' see it rebounding 221% in a day.
The crazy part is I watched it at $1.12 in pre-market...

Bear markets can cost ya big time sometimes because of not being assertive...I had the funds clear for a much larger play..

Did have a close call with a big O 'Orca that thought maybe she knew the best time for me to meet Neptune....We had a bit of an arguement, but I just bit her on her big lovely tail and sent her on her way!

Well, that is no good. I already have a spare
tire, big rig size.

I send you over to the Bunny Ranch to have a
good time, ask you to bring back a souvenir
to me, and all you bring me is a used rubber

tire

Oh shoot, Dustoff is talking about Orca The Porka
over at the Bunny Ranch. I called her and ask
she show him a whale of a time, being a game
fish she is. He slipped her a fin and she gave
him a good flipper causing that old Salty Dog
Dustoff to grin and shout, "Thar she blows!"
just for the halibut.

Orca The Porka, being a good catch, netted
Dustoff and cast him overboard, then reeled
him back in. "Captain Dusty, there is a real
smooth catfish for you to meet! Follow my
line and I shall bait Neptune for you!"

Neptune, you know, that sweet tuna who wears
the scaled leotards, about six foot eight
with a nice yellow tail. One look, and ol'
Sea Dog Dusty lost his sea legs, ventured
off course, his rudder dragging bottom.

'Bout that time Neptune gafs him with her
stong as barnacle hands, "Come on now, Dusty,
do not clam up on me! Show me what a big
swordfish you are! Come with me, we will
become flying fish exploring the Seven Seas!"

Dusty bit hook, line and sinker!

My oh my how those two deep sea explored
Davy Jones' Locker and beyond!

halibut!

lol,

Dust, will take another look in a few hours re GACF, and not just for the halibut...

From a speculative perspective. I would think with the popular interest in used private corporate Air Trans, a good used market is developing in used aircraft. And being used, they need more parts than new aircraft, and they need them in a timely manner..

Down time on the tarmac could cost the savings enjoyed by going pre-owwned.

The boneyards in the desert are doing a lot of work reconditioning parts and aircraft.

Anyway, thats what a Halibut with buckteeth told me.

count another one in who discovered Global Aircraft

-- strong balance sheet, no debt, strong growth, with a backlog of orders and a deferred profit for Q206. "Given the known profitable maintenance contracts in work at HAT and the strong net profit contribution already built in as a result of the deferred booking of sales in JetGlobal, barring any unforeseen circumstances, I feel it is reasonable to project record earnings for the upcoming second quarter and 2006 as a whole."

-- In the bigger picture, BA projects strong growth in the industry:
http://money.cnn.com/2006/07/12/news/international/boeing.forecast.reut/index.ht m

-- and to cut costs big airlines are treding towards sub-contracting lots of maintenace work

Regardless of the last few days this is a promising hold!!

added a little at 1.16 today, surprised to see dip so low. Q due in a week or two, we'll see how it goes.

also sitting on a bunch of lowball standing limit order buys on LTFD, IAIC, CLSI, TCRS, and a few others; and adding whenever they have periodic oversold (imho) dips.

GACF and these others are quality companies that offer both good value and growth prospects, imho. they've all struggled somewhat lately, but - my hope is that they won't stay undervalued forever, and that sooner or later share price will start to appreciate to a point where it's a better reflection of underlying company value. we'll see.

GACF still stuck in 1.10 range, but - i'm a patient person, am still holding.
