Do you know why are hurricanes named after women?
Hurricanes have feminine names because when they come, they are wild and wet, and when they go, they take your house and car with them.
Meteorologists are predicting a severe hurricane season this year. I will take this a step more by predicting greater numbers of and more intense torandoes, as well. There you have it, bound to be true if I say it.
There are some companies who made good windfall profits last year, pun intended, and I believe they will make good profits again this year, during and especially after the big storm season.
PWCL, PowerCold Corporation, and HOM, Home Solutions of America, both enjoyed significantly increased revenues during and after hurrican season. PWCL did really well during the 2003 year season.
PWCL, although an air conditioning company, also specializes in roofing. They made lots of bucks in 2003 replacing hurricane damaged roofs, and did nearly as well last year.
HOM is more of a home repair outfit, but does have some mold removal business, but more on the West Coast than in the East. Nontheless, they enjoy an upswing in business during hurricane season.
There are other companies who will enjoy windfall profits later this year. I invite readers to share their picks for companies who will benefit from storm damage this season; never too early to begin preparing to make money.
Trick is, a company in this category should be servicing Florida, Texas and the Carolinas, along with being a well established company with good public exposure. That exposure is needed because the public will contact the easiest-to-find outfit which can effect repairs the quickest.
HOM is about to, or should, experience a good upswing in share price in eight to ten days upon release of a 10Q reporting record revenues.
Nonetheless, HOM will decline in share value as Summer burns on. When the winds kick up, HOM will do so as well.
PWCL probably won't change much in value for the next couple of months, maybe a little more. With hurricane season, they will be reporting record revenues and a huge backlog of business.
Make a note to yourself, you won't forget about, to cash in on hurricane season this year.
Make a note or two, here, of those companies you think will also benefit from the demise of others.
Hey, this is about money not about compassion for the victims of hurricanes or tornadoes. Heck, we live with earthquakes and need body armor while driving our cars, here in California. We all make choices and my choice is to make money no matter the source of profit.
So, your Monica Blows picks are?

Yep. I saw that. It was a sweet act. I know we won't see any scandal for the next three years anyways, after that who knows. If Hillary gets in the nation may be in trouble, but the stock market should boom. Bad enough she represents us in NY.

Deep Throat is the name of a bullfrog which is living along the edges of Grassy Lake, just behind our farm near Eagletown, Oklahoma.
I only saw Deep Throat a few times during my childhood, knowing he is most dangerous and to be avoided at all times.
My recollection is clear as a bell. That bullfrog is going on a century in age and he is about the size of a four-hundred pound Duroc Hog, and twice as mean. He is wise, he is tricky and has a fierce appetite for baby pigs and baby humans. All but the foolish know not to walk around Grassy Lake after the sunset when Oklahoma mosquitoes come out.
Back in nineteen-sixty-seven, when I was just big enough to keep from being snatched up by that bullfrog, a second cousin came to visit our farm. She is twenty-six, and I, seven.
Well, she didn't believe those stories about Deep Throat, ignored advice to stay away from lake edge at night, and she took her year old baby, in arms, for a stroll along our lake just about sunset. Wasn't long, we heard her take to screaming like a piglet in a panther's jaws, right blood curdling screaming. Grandpa grabbed a shotgun and all of us lit out down to the lake.
There we found my second cousin, Velma Jean, hysterical and, her baby missing. We knew what happened, just knew in our hearts.
After great effort, we managed to get her back up to the farmhouse, where she was given quite a few sips of white lightning from a Mason jar. Soon she settled down a bit and told her story, a horrifying story.
She is strolling along lake edge, taking in all the wonderous beauty when suddenly she hears some rustling in the cattails near water edge. Out waddles Deep Throat, two feet tall and real ugly. She sobs, "I saw that creature from Hades and could not believe my eyes." Another sip from our Mason jar, "There he is, justing sitting there looking at us, a good twenty paces away," she breaks down for a moment, sips some more, "and the next thing I know, that bullfrog has his slimy tongue around my baby, then, woooshh, he takes my baby right from my arms and swallows her whole. My baby, oh my baby."
Well, we knew there was nothing to be done and there wouldn't be any funeral. We each silently thanked God an Oklahoma mosquito hadn't skewered her baby, only to fly off into the darkness with baby screaming. That is a horrible way to die.
Little while later, we could hear Deep Throat croaking, from our farmhouse, really deep and loud, so loud, our windows rattled a bit. He was bragging about his fine meal that night.
I'm told Deep Throat still lives down along Grassy Lake to this very day. Best take my advice to not walk around that lake at night.

We are having rain storms, lightning storms and flash flooding here in So. Cal.
Global Warming!
HOM use to be a good hurricane stock but their share price is maxed out now.
PWCL, I recall they made some decent profits back in 2003 or 2004; hurricane damage. I have not looked close at them this year. Share price is way down from a couple years back. Currently in mild losses since restructuring; improving.
I think PDGE was once a hurricane play. Seems to me they are more involved in California, now.
There was a roofing company discussed here, recently, cannot remember the ticker. Kind of a hot stock on the East Coast. Run a search of Allstocks for this board. "Roofing" as a key term should turn up this one.

Hmm, just as long as they don't have any illeagals working for them.
This is a big industry that the illegals are involved with.
There was a company that Wal Mart hired down in Pennsylvania to build a wharehouse recently. Just south of Frackville that can be seen from I-81.
I spoke with a person, the day before I left for vacation, that was down there when the Feds came in and took away about 130 people in handcuffs. The guy mentioned that the company he works for has been having to go back through a lot of these warehouses and fix the original work that these illegals have done.
He mentioned that the illegal's are fast workers, but shoddy when it comes to quality. The company that had the illegals working for it was based in Texas.

Oh come Purl, These little rain showers we are having in SOCAL is nothing compared to the storms that we live with in Texas and Okla. If another storm hits southern LA, pbls should have another run like they did last year. TMAN...

Shall, discount airline tickets are related to hurricane damage in what way?
IVGA
"The Company has incurred losses of $6,281,438 since inception and the Company had negative working capital of $2,240,931 at March 31, 2006. These factors raise substantial doubt about the Company’s ability to continue as a going concern."
