This is a topic which requires some tact and diplomacy. Do keep an open mind.
It is rare I participate at the Raging Bull boards over at Lycos. I do cruise through some selected stocks looking for information, maybe something new, something I missed, anything of value. When it comes to making money, hard work and effort pay well.
It is my choice to not participate over there because of well known problems. Most people are decent enough over there, but there are quite a few with whom I would rather not engage in dialog.
Lately, I have noticed another stock message board is being advertised over there, using many popular stocks here as a premise.
Eventually, their advertisements over at Raging Bull will pay off, but I tend to doubt this other message board will enjoy the earned dividends, the new customers.
It is unfair of me to speak for Bob Frey and this is not my intent. What I write here is strictly my own opinion and should not be considered a reflection upon our boards here at All Stocks nor upon Bob.
I have a request of all readers. Please give thought to not promoting All Stocks at Raging Bull boards. I have not read any mention of All Stocks other there. Personally, I would rather not read any mention of All Stocks at Raging Bull. My feelings are some of the posters over there are probably not the type of people we would want here.
I know, reads snobbish, condescending and all that. Nonetheless I suspect there are quite a few here who will agree with what I write tonight.

Interesting. I remember being a member of Raging Bull in '98 (I, however lost my username and password) but nevertheless; I remember when the site was sold for 15 million (I believe) by two kids (both under 21). The appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show. Anyhow, there are a few sites I check out for good information but at the present time Raging Bull is not one of them.
But since coming across this message board, you have sparked my interest in the site. I'll even see if they can resend me my username and password.

Purl I have looked at the R/B board a couple of times,( any investor that doesn't use all information out there is not smart) but don't like all the B/S that goes with it. As for you sounding snobbish about not wanting some of them over here that's like saying that you don't want loud rude people to move in next door to you, it's not snobbish just looking out for yourself. People on the allstock board have help me a lot and I like to be able to get info and advice with out the crap. Just my thoughts

Colorado, I use Investors Hub to create lists of stock symbols. Their listings by sector really helps when you are interested in diversifying your choices or finding stocks in a specific sector.
I do read a little bit there but focus on developing lists of ticker symbols to research on my own.

Absolutely! I visit every stock related site I can find. Takes hours and hours to do this but sure pays off well.
Information is money, in this game.
Might seem I spent a lot of time here annoying people with my constant babble but I am really online a lot researching lots of sites and periodically drop in here to stir up trouble, for a break.

Purl Gurl, You are 100% right. I visit RB often to check for specific stocks, scan the Niz board for any hot picks I may be unaware of, but overall the bashers, pumpers, dumpers, and hypesters can be rude, crass, and worse. Allstocks is a refreshing break from that. Many of the people I have met here are incredibly decent and hardworking. A lot of them have helped me learn more, make good decisions, make some money, and I have grown to really respect some of their opinions-including yours. So Thanks! -Debi

I think wandering around and looking at the rumour mill is absolutely critical. RB serves it's purpose---a necessary place to visit---like the necessary room--LOL

We had a wave of new visitors from RB(i assume)a while back--it took some of them a little while to figger out that the RB approach to BB communication was not appreciated here. I don't know how many of them stayed--but i have noticed a few new names.Unfortunately we lost quite a few good people in the process. C'est la vie.

Ah, but the crazies remain! I mean there is the two of us to maintain an Andy Warhol effect around here!
Most of the Raging Bull illegal aliens seem to be confining themselves to very select threads, where the pumping keeps them hot and bothered.
Some seem to be learning from the more seasoned investors here, which is good for them, good for all.
Then there are those like us!
GAK!
Speaking of an Andy Warhol effect and boys reading bathroom stall walls, do you remember when gas stations offered full service and the bathrooms were Warhol decorated with several condom vending machines? Most unique and made for great reading while washing your hands, well, for girls who know to wash their hands, afterwards.
I would pay big bucks to have some of those condom machines. Great collectables!

I spent two years on RB because I couldn't find a better alternative, then a month ago I stumbled on allstocks. I was so stinkin' tired of the BS posts that amounted to advertising, the bickering and arguing, and all the crap you have to sort through to find some useful info. There are some good ppl there, but overall it's a very juvenile environment. I rarely check back and will probably forget RB altogether. I've been playing on paper with DD done from the Allstocks community and have done well... now I gotta do it for

Staying on topic here, Glassman, several times as a child I rode in certain comfort and high style upon a Greyhound bus headed from Oklahoma to Californicated.
I noticed condom vending machines in bathrooms in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and finally in Needles, California. Once past Needles, no more condom machines.
Clearly, back then, California was populated by Puritans, such as Richard Nixon.

Interestingly--i was going to suggest that you might find some of those machines by taking OLD route 66 and checking out the abandoned businesses---the machines might in fact be in storage at a few of the junk dealers shops--you won't find them expensive yet --unless i have missed the latest article in Spinning Wheel Magazine on collectible condom dispensers--LOL
I'm not sure about the Puritan thing--i think he was a Quaker

Oh, but wait! We have yet to discuss old hair comb vending machines and Kotex vending machines found in gas station bathrooms so very long ago!
You should ride a Greyhound bus from my homestate of Oklahoma to California, several times. You will discover the only interest and excitement on the trip is running into both men's and women's bathrooms to see what is in there, hopefully no men.
Once paid seventy-five cents for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a glass of milk in an old cafe somewhere in New Mexico at three in the morning. Really got ripped on that one.
Seventy-five cents for a sandwich! Crooks taking advantage of children.
I am not sure I believe all those ads about shooting oatmeal out of cannons. Strikes me it would be very hard to sweep up, gather and package those flakes for selling.

In my younger days, I enjoyed riding the greyhounds---met lots of people---had fun watching the scenery--was a little safer than hitch-hiking--remember that?--I hitched ALOT---never once had a problem that i couldn't talk my way out of(maybe i was a little lucky)---not anymore-HUH?
I took the bus(supposedly for fun) two years ago from Nebraska to Riverside---I had to pick up the 300ZX we left behind on our move here. It was no cheaper than flying--I was just looking for something--what I found was depressing--A lot of very nervous illegals--we stopped in Ogallala NE(true name) where the INS pulled two off the bus--no questions or discussion--they just walked down the aisle and seemingly randomly pointed ---the man and woman were separate--they both got their stuff and silently left the bus. The INS bus was full. I couldn't figger out why the INS didn't ask for EVERYONE's papers---they seemed to be overlooking a lot of people.Next stop--Colorado--the bus FILLED up with probable illlegals and guess what- no more checks --ALL THE WAY into Riverside. I think we are enforcing the laws very selectively and very oddly. Needless to say no more bus trips for me--too bad-- I had a lot of fun on them when I was still a rolling stone.
Cannot mention his name but I just finished talking with a very famous older singer, you know well, everybody knows.
Somebody hacked an account at America Online, pulled a credit card number from a company which is his "secretarial" service. Using his credit card information, they opened forty-two pornography sites, originating out of the West Indies and Tunisia, at least at first glance.
He calls, tells me the FBI are working on this, trying to trace down the culprit, all that. Asks me if I can help him.
"Sure, I can help you but I will have to break the law."
Tells me not to worry, if anything happens he will tell the FBI I work for him and he instructed me to do some hacking.
Sounds like an adventure to me, lots of excitement!
An hour later, a bit of hacking, I was able to trace this culprit down, right to where he lives, even his phone number.
Big surprise! He is not in Tunisia nor in the West Indies. He is in Virginia! The crook tried to cover his trail by using false information for his NIC registry and some other tricks.
Boy Howdy, will the FBI be surprised and will certainly ask how he came into this information.
Want my stocks, Glassman? I am about to go to jail.
Nah, I will flee to my Choctaw Nation and become the next Keven Mitnik!
Watch it! I will whistle into a phone and crash Wall Street!
