Why not have a chart picking contest? Who here can spot a winner? There are no technical requirments (i.e., stocks trading above/below their 20/50/200 day MAs etc.), but you have to state WHY you think your pick, from a technical angle, is a winner. You can, however, mingle some news and/or fundamentals into your rational, but only insofar as these directly bear upon a stock's recent trading pattern (e.g., if a stock just poped, plumeted, bounced off some recent data that you feel might set it up for a favorable move).

I'll start it off with TFCT. This stock has just had some good news and "poped" accordingly (I'm "mingling" here). However, it also retraced right back to about where it was before anything was ever announced, right to where it was when it was in a down-trend (probably from investor fears of its being just another P/D play), as if, "now", this news meant nothing. This sort of "overbuying backlash" and profit-taking is fairly common. And I believe that, after a stock does this, it has a very high probability of a steady trend reversal, all the more quickly instigated when a stock actually comes back down and breaks its previous support levels. Well, we shall see if this holds true next week... Anyone care to add here?

I'll go with IIP for now. There "just starting" to come off the bottom and reverse (you have to be good enough to spot it BEFORE it spikes -- not saying I am, but I try). And although that ill-timed "pop" IIP saw 10 days ago probably did more harm than good to where IIP be otherwise be right now, I think an over-all reversal has been set. Also, their 2 year chart (below), w/support just under their present PPS, is quite uncanny... This stock is simply way oversold, IMO, and is primed for a fall reversal.

Kool Thread I think I will join in too. My pick will be HOM although it may be overbought right this second I do believe it will gain 100+% during the next few months. HOM broke its 50 day MA just under 2 weeks ago if I remember correctly on low volume. If HOM can keep trading above its 50 day MA I believe it will yield everyone in it a decent return. Current RSI is 70 Slow Stoch is in the 90's if you are thinking about jumping in wait for the small pullback in the 1.30's then jump in. If HOM does fall below its 50 day MA and closes under it some revaluating will need to take place.

Ok that is my pick, did I do it right? Did you want me to add anything else. Talk to you later.

Mx, i admit when it was flying this am i sold it all at 1.68, *sigh*. i almost got it back at 1.51 on the dip but the order just missed filling, but then it ran again. still really like this stock, am hoping for mid-1.50's dip and i'm back in. had bought at 1.18, on runs like today i just can't help but hit the "sell" button even though i like the stock; i need to work on that. i really want to be back in this one soon, i think their Q's are going to progressively get better. still kicking myself for not buying a ton when it tanked to 1.15-range

Congrats Blue on selling at 1.68 I personally sold this myself today(Monday) @1.70 I thought it was overbought temporarly at 1.48 so when I seen it trading today at 1.70 I decided better take what profit I made and wait for the small pullback and then re enter. My average PPS by the way was 1.26 a share, I am hoping for the low 1.50's then im back. I like HOM and believe they will keep getting better. So if we can take profits during a surge in price and wait for a pullback I say more power to us. Take Care

MxPx, i'm back in HOM - very nice dip today, took advantage of it after cashing out some ALMI profits. Looks like some genius put in a market instead of limit sell order for a lot of shares at 3pm and temporarily tanked the price. Looking forward to their next few quarterlies, I think they will be good. If you look at how far HOM has fallen from (almost 3.50 last summer), I still think they have a lot of room to move up over the next several months. we shall see!

Well, this isn't a "breakout chart" (yet), but as of 10:45, 9/30, this sure looks solid. I figure, the longer this support holds up, the better the chances of moving up. Higher highs and higher lows happening here; NMKT is riding on strong support that's just above where it was BEFORE it took off last week; back down here again on VERY low volume; PRs very promissing of late; just time to accumulate and wait... So what do I get if I win this contest?

almost like NMKT is stuck to .55 with glue lately, buying and selling pressures seem to be almost exactly equalized at that point. i think it'll stay within a few cents of .55 until "given a reason" to move, be it either good or bad. hopefully it will be a good PR. one of the reasons i like them is that news is usually just around the corner. revenue is great, but - hopefully with the coming Q's will be hints of bigger *profits* as well. the bottom line is, after all, the bottom line.

nice comeback for HOM yesterday, very encouraging that there is enough support that people won't let this one completely tank; imho. i'm going to hold HOM for awhile and see how the next few Q's play out. i'm hoping for 4c a share earnings next Q, up from 2c last Q. i think that's a reasonable hope, based on how things seem to be perking up for them. 4c a Q annualized would be 16c a share, which would place it at a PE of around 10 at this point. there's a reason they took on a lot of debt to acquire the home warranty etc companies: am hoping that as time goes by they start to really contribute to the bottom line.

hold up...don't forget PKCY. They're about to release their yearly financial statements, which will definitely be profitable, and their stock price is bottomed out right now. Let's watch PKCY in the next month.

Like PKCY - good support at present base, which I don't see it breaking; perhaps a reversal is setting up(?) Only thing is the volume is a bit low for me - but then, you don't have to throw the farm at it.

GL!

This just shows that no one is willing to sell below this -- so far, and for this stock -- increadible support. A move up from here would indeed look sweet on the charts. Let's just hope she holds up through a Friday!
