Very interesting! Sort of like the predictions between the Old Testament predictions, and the New Testament fulfillments, totally coming to pass! [Smile] The Old testament was found to be written before Jesus was born, and the New Testament after! Also, it reminds me of the Bible codes that they have discovered, running throughout the scripture.

About the predictions of the Bible first!

There were seventeen major predictions! The odds of them all being fulfilled, is equal to

1 chance in 480,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
or 1 chance in 480 Billion x 1 Billion x 1 Trillion
In other words, there is only one chance in 480 billion x 1 Billion, x 1 Trillion that these old testament prophets could have accurately predicted these seventeen specific prophecies about the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, by chance alone.
Evidence of prophecies being fulfilled in our generation are coming to pass. I can tell you the seventeen predictions, and where they can be found, if you are interested!

As far as the Bible codes, which prove to be mathmatical in nature, verifying that the Bible is God's inspired Word, I took this from Grant Jeffreys book called, The Signature of God.

Jesus Christ, Himself, affirmed that the actual letters composing the Scriptures were directly inspired by God and were preserved in their precise order throughout eternity. "For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled" Matthew 5:18. The English word, jot, is our translation of the Greek word, iota, the Greek letter i. This, iota, is the Greek equivalent of the Hebrew letter, yod, which is the smallest letter in the Hebrew alphabet. The word, tittle, is the Greek word, keraia, derived from the smallest Hebrew grammatical symbol. Jesus Christ stated that even the smallest of the letters and grammatical marks of the original text of the Bible were directly inspired by God. This intriquing statement by Jesus about the Scriptures has been confirmed two thousand years later by means of an intricate analysis of the Hebrew text of the Bible by mathematicians and computer scientists in Israel. To their total surprise, these researchers discovered that every single letter of the Torah fits into a complicated tapestry of staggering mathematical precision. In this regard we should remember the words found in Proverbs 25:2, It is the glory of God to conceal matter, but the glory of kings to search out a matter. This phenomonon of Hebrew codes was placed beneath the text of the Bible thousands of years ago. However, it has been hidden successfully by God until our generation. Many of these codes could not have been discovered by manual examination of the text. The invention of high speed computers, developed in the last twenty years, enabled the researchers to examine every possible conbination occurring in any of hundreds of possible intervals, from every second letter to every 500th letter, for example, throughout the millions of Hebrew letters in the Old Testament. However, once detected by the computer program, anyone can personally verify the existence of the code by manually counting out the letters to see that a particular name is spelled out by skipping the appropriate number of letters.

If you want to prove out this simple theory, take your Bible. Open it to the first page. This has nothing to do with what the scientists found, but what I personally found. The first partial sentence of the first chapter is,

In the beginning God created

Counting only letters, count eight letters in. Write it down. Count eight more letters. Write it down. Count eight more! Write it down! What did you get? This is only the first partial sentence! If you want to know what the scientists found, running through the entire Bible, read Grant Jeffreys book, called The Signature of God!

Jesus said there would be many amazing discoveries in the end times, because knowledge would be increased! We will see unusual things in the sky! There will be more earthquakes, and storms! He speaks of many other things in His Word. It's all coming to pass.

Kate helps me find the truth.

She did say that one of the things I said recently was true. We sometimes seem to disagree, but are just using a different conceptual framework to express similar ideas.

Keep thumping that bible, Kate. It is always good to hear from you.

That sounds like a whole lot of bull**** to me to be personally honest. If you look for something hard enough, you'll find it whether its there or not...

All those who believe in psychokinesis raise my hand.

We can see into the future because, our quantum wave field(QWF) is uniformitizing the shizneck of the clabijerizer.

I *want* to believe in it, its just their are reasons why mainstream science just isn't buying it...

It'd be cool if we could make things move with our mind.

psychokinesis may be possible, we may already be doing it, but we don't know....

how much energy can the brain actually generate? enough to move a couple molecules?

Today's established knowledge is often tomorrow's myth, as I have said before.

The problem with many paranormal phenomena is that they are infrequent and not easily experimentally demonstrated, or if so, not easily repeatable in experimental replication. Jenny Randles book Time Slips documents some of these.

Experimenter effects are prominent. Psychic phenomena is often demonstrated when experimenters believe, and often fail when experimenters are skeptical. This may relate to quantum phenomena demonstrable only when the effect is measured/observed, and the past results may even be changed when measured/observed in the present (search on "quantum erasure").

The brain can't possibly generate enough energy to produce a psycho- or tele- kinetic effect. There have been many experimental demonstrations of it for those who have an open mind. The only way it can happen, and it can happen in my opinion, is not in an energy transfer, but in an information communication from the brain waves to the physical object waves, which influences causality.

Could that have been an effect of sexual arousal from excitement over possibly being psychokinetic?

maybe?

hmmmmmm....

if i have a "thought" haven't i already caused molecules to re-arrange themselves within my body?

Glassman: ...if i have a "thought" haven't i already caused molecules to re-arrange themselves within my body?

Art: Yes, via material-neuronal cause and effect chains influencing electro-chemical ionic potentials, etc., in the synapse and neurons, etc.

If this occurs it is the result of material cause and effect communications, but no significant energy occurs - and no energy output from thought that can go out of the body to move physical objects.

It is not an energy transfer - it is a data transfer that produces the effects of an energy transfer.

Non-locality effects show that data can be transferred instantly (faster than the speed of light) across vast regions of space via quantum entanglement. Einstein called this spooky action at a distance.

something (thought?) made the "first" molecule(s) change its/their electrical potential......which cascaded.....

i keep hearing about this supposed effect...LOL (paired photons etc.) it's all theoretical....

Non-locality, teleportation, the quantum mirage, the quantum erasure, and quantum tunneling prove that data (information) change is the basis of material change, in my opinion.

Nothing theoretical about these experimentally reproducible effects.

Art, got any peer reviewed articles to support teleportation? quantum tunneling?

there was a group that claimed to break the speed of light a few years back... they even got into Nature with it...but it was semantic games..in other words HYPE

Do a search on the topics listed.

The phenomena is not questioned.

The explanation is theoretical, and for me, the explanation of information or data governing the phenomena is he only one that makes any sense. Most people just don't try to explain it - it is counterintuitive phenomena which no one likes to deal with.

Michael Crichton TRIED to 'splain it in Timeline, he fell short...

quantum foam is the latest "catch-phrase"

yes there are some "tunneling" theories...but they are also explainable by resonance...

even black holes remain unproven...even tho they are fully accepted and a recent theory places one at the center of each galaxy....

oddly, Stephen Hawking has also recently come up with a proof that black holes do in fact emit radiation, which means they aren't really black holes... LOL

i'm not a pessimist just a skeptic...

The quantum tunneling I am referring to is when a particle is on one side of a barrier, and instantly repositions itself on the other side of the barrier - it doesn't move through but instantly repositions itself.

One cell organisms, without any neuronal system, show signs of learning and pursposeful activity - thinking or computation.

Hameroff believes this is based on quantum computation existing in not only life forms, but all matter - the universe as a whole. This may be the source of information control of matter:

Let me just say, that if you do decide to read the book I mentioned, you will need to really get the second one, called, The Mysterious Bible Codes, by Grant Jeffrey. It has a lot more scientific data in it, and even though I believed in the Bible before reading it, there is too much evidence for me to have any excuse, not to believe in it now! [Smile] It isn't just words running through, but mathmatical codes, in different sequences. Seven is one of the major ones! I would type some info from the book, but I seem to have misplaced it! Lucky for you guys! [Smile]

Bible codes are interesting.

Perhaps Kevin could comment on the mathematics involved, and validity of the code results.

I read Timeline.
It was an interesting book.
That's how I got into the whole quantum mechanics and time travel stuff.
I believe time travel is in fact, possible.
Because the faster you travel through space the faster you travel through time. I don't want to get into traveling into the past, as it is to hard to explain.
Bible Codes.....I believe them.......maybe we went back in time and wrote the bible to warn us about events that are about to happen?

hmmmm..
if time travel is possible and it will be accomplished, then time travel HAS been done.. [Big Grin]

i want to believe too...cut my teeth on Heinlein in elementary school...

Poul Anderson was another, not exactly a brilliant writer,BUT he actually had a physics degree....Tau Zero was almost an epiphany for me at that age...

bible codes are fascinating to me too...
i believe in a Creator, the universe makes sense...people are the part that don't make no sense [Big Grin]

i have a hard time applying human emotions to the Creator....

i aslo reccomend Graham Hancock (Fingerprints of the Gods & The Mars Mystery) his work is done as sort of non-fiction, but it is a mixture of fact and speculation...definitely thought provoking...his explanation (in Fingerprints) of the precession of the equinoxes is outstanding, and really gives a strong argument for the high intellect of "illiterate" "pre-civilised" man...

"Perhaps Kevin could comment on the mathematics involved, and validity of the code results."

I'd have to read over it... but it seems VERY sketchy. People can find 'patterns' when they want to badly enough.

the most interesting part is how the patterns are found.....takes quite a bit of imagination...

Stephen Hawking's: A Universe In A Nutshell
is an excellent book, covering theoretical physics, quantum physics, controversial theories and much more. You people who like science should read this.

Glassman;..if time travel is possible and it will be accomplished, then time travel HAS been done.. [Big Grin]

Art: Funny! You have a creative and nimble mind, Glassman.

Time travel has been done, though it is extremely rare. It occurs in time slips (do a search).

What you have to realize is that it is not travel in the classical sense - a physical object does not speed faster than the speed of light (FTL) in the Newtonian sense that we are familar with. That is impossible. Rather, it can teleport in the quantum sense, in a time storm, or time slip, or dimensional leak through. Teleportation in the present is instantaneous (FTL) travel across vast space.

Objects do not actually move through time and space - this is an illusion. Rather they are re-positioned in each descrete production of the present (holographic frame by frame of descrete presents). This same mechanism of repositioning can produce apparent movement that is faster than the speed of light, or apparent movement into the past or even the future. Keeping in mind that at the basic level of existence, nothing ever moves, and that everything is simultaneously everywhere - where present past and future are simultaneous. The material precipitates out of this eternal and timeless existence, present by present.

It is possible to find yourself in the past, immersed in some historical scene, or into the future (which is more rare than even the extremely rare excursion into the past).

I will post some material on this in the future.

Wait, didn't I already do this?
