Romney's Company Forces U.S. Flag to Be Lowered in Illinois

(WASHINGTON DC) - If Mitt Romney is elected president, the American flag itself may actually be restricted from flying in the United States. That word comes from employees losing their jobs in Freeport, Illinois.

The Presidential Candidate holds major stock in a company called Sensata. The company recently made factory officials take down the American flag when they were forced to train their Chinese replacement workers, according to Tom Gaulrapp, with the United Steelworkers Union.

Right now in Freeport, Illinois, some 170 workers at an auto sensor plant are sleeping in tents to protest Bain-owned Sensata Technology’s decision to ship their jobs to China.

Romney claims he knows nothing about this. But the New York Times explains: “[Mitt Romney] owns about $8 million worth of Bain funds that hold 51 percent of Sensata’s shares. If Sensata saves money by closing the Freeport plant, that could add money to Mr. Romney’s trust accounts, now or after the election.”

This is taking place as Mitt Romney tries to convince people to believe that he doesn’t know about Bain's shipping American jobs overseas. He is trying to distance himself from Bain Capital, a pioneer of outsourcing where Romney made a fortune as CEO.

Another employee losing her job, Mary Jo Kerr, is a young mom of three. She's heartbroken because she can’t afford dance lessons for her daughter. Another is Dot Turner, so close to retirement, but will not receive it. Instead Dot will get just 26 weeks’ severance for 43 years of work in the plant.

Watch and share the Sensata workers’ story at www.usw.org/election2012.

Well Obama is the President so shouldnt our President be with them? Also, in case you didnt know , Romney hasnt been a part of Bain for a while.

Also, where were you when stimulus money was given to General Electric for wind power and it was contracted out to China to manufacture and to ship back here?

This story is weak. Did you also forget that bain employees give more money to Democrats than Republicans? I have pointed this out before, and the Democrats take it no problem. Obama has gotten a lot of money from them, even for the CURRENT election.

Democrats have accepted more political donations than Republicans from executives at Bain Capital, complicating the left’s plan to attack Mitt Romney for his record at the private-equity firm.

During the last three election cycles, Bain employees have given Democratic candidates and party committees more than $1.2 million. The vast majority of that sum came from senior executives.

I didnt have to try anything. Bain shells out money to Democrats, and then Democrats gather and attack bain and pretend like they are sticking up for the little guy while greasing their palms on the back end.

"Campaign finance records show that Democrats collect more money from Wall Street than does the GOP.”

Republican candidates and party committees raised over $480,000 from senior Bain executives during that time period.

this chart say we lost 5 million manufacturing jobs since 2001- forget who is in charge, that's not eh point.

the point is that there are about 130 million people in the job force, and 5 million jobs is 3.84% according to me cacklacker...

so, if you return those 5 million jobs? you get unemployment back to about 5% where it usually is even in "good" economy....
if you want to get really into the math? the unemployment rate would be closer to 4% which combined with a DOW at 13,000 should garantee any incumbent a win...
sure there's a real unemployemt rate that;s higher, but those 5 million jobs would increase ancillary needs too which would make for even more employers hiring...
wonder why there's no jobs? nope, we are being punished for electing the wrong guy....

we do buy oil form them tho, so it's not all factory stuff... but alot is.... and yeah, both parties particpate in this , i am only trying to force peopel to change teh debate tot eh real problems... not eh ones the party leaders on both side choose to debate...

china is way worse: $203,121,500,000 as of Aug this year and last year was ( i beleive the owrst ever) at -$295,422,500,000....

those figures can be divided by 75,000 (annual cost of a 50K per yer job to the employer) to discover how many good paying jobs and the associated tax revenues that go with them have been lost....

-$295,422,500,000 divided by 75,000 = 3,938,960 hmmmmm

that come darn close to returning US to 5% unemploymnet just from China alone don't it?

getting my drift here cashcow? i think this is the whole damn problem. solved in one swift blow... yet we find ourselves bombarded with all the crap all day every day that won't fix a d-d-m thing, right? tell your friends cash get eh GOP to begin to answer this? an they'll come back the honest way, serving the people what they NEED desperately.
