Well, because he hasn't been clean and, because back then, in order to keep him out of jail and cleanse the family name, innocent well meaning law enforcement people simply doing their job lost their means of supporting their family (check out the records and the "missing records" in Lubbock and the statements of ex-highway patrolmen).

I concur...I did hear the purchasing of forclosures was a grulling process as well. And the fact that you cant see the interior of what your buying. I heard some people vacate in a rage leaving a HUGE wake.
