URBANA, Ohio, Feb 25, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- The Champaign Telephone Company (OTC: CPHT) announced that on February 24, 2004, its Board of Directors approved a tender offer to its shareholders of record as of March 4, 2004, whereby the Corporation is offering to purchase up to 100,000 shares of its common stock, par value $.625 per share, at a purchase price of $30.00 per share, net to the seller in cash, upon certain terms and conditions contained in formal offer documents. The Corporation expects to mail the formal offer documents to its shareholders on or about March 5, 2004. The offer will expire at 5:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time, on Wednesday, April 21, 2004.
